Omar Rojas
Peruvian musician and producer, recognized as one of the most influential bassists in the country’s music scene. He began his training at the age of 10 and has shared the stage and recordings with artists such as Noel Schajris, Luis Fonsi, Pandora, Mijares, Diego Torres, Dominic Miller, Gianmarco, Alejandro Fernández, Juan Luis Guerra, Fonseca, Dyango, Russell Ferrante, among others.
He participated in iconic projects such as the album En Vivo desde el Lunario by Gianmarco, nominated for a Latin Grammy, and recorded the electric bass on Tusuy Kusun by Damaris, the song that won the Viña del Mar Festival in 2008.
In 2010, he produced One Day Project, an album of Christian music from his personal perspective. As a solo artist, he released the albums Seguir (2012) and Roundtrip (2015), blending Peruvian music with contemporary genres. In 2025, he will release his new production, The Meeting.
He is an endorser of GHS Strings and Aguilar Amplification, brands with which he develops his characteristic sound.
Founder of the audiovisual collective La Azotea Music (now Cancha Music & Films), he has produced over 100 videos to promote Peruvian music.
Currently, he is the musical director for Gianmarco, a professor in the Music Department at UPC, and the general producer at Cancha Music & Films, developing music and audiovisuals that connect with audiences in an innovative way.
