The Fnord is a octaver / fuzz type circuit with some twists. It blends a scrambler / octaver type fuzz with a more traditional fuzz / distortion. From zipper/Velcro tones to a full throated distortion, or a combination of the two. Add a sizzle to your leads, make a rhythm sound that harkens back to the days of screwdriver modified speakers, or a tight lightly gated distortion.

Most families have one. One who is different, all the while resembling the others. The Crown of Horns is that one in the Black Arts Toneworks family. While the Pharaoh is the utilitarian BMP, the LSTR is the wild and outrageous brother, the Crown is the youngster with different DNA, possibly the mailman’s. Living in the BAT family, The Crown of Horns shares traits of the Pharaoh and LSTR. The heart of the Crown is that of the OpAmp muff with the addition of a hybrid Pharaoh/LSTR tone section. Not quite as middy as the Pharaoh, not quite as scooped as the LSTR. The Crown sits squarely in the middle of the two. What makes the Crown very different is the Horns. The Horns switch will bypass the tone stack altogether for a huge, flat boost of volume. The result of this is highly interactive with your amp. Different amps and settings within the amps will give results ranging from a huge volume boost to a slab of fat saturation. Your creativity will find ways to utilize the Horns. As is standard in the Black Arts family, the Crown of Horns portrait includes a big bottom, loud mouth, aggressive personality and a bit of unruly FU

The Sarcophagus takes two massive circuits and combines them into one unit, saving space, cabling and powering. The Pharaoh and LSTR are both present in the entirety with the addition of a toggle to reverse effect order. Pharaoh into LSTR or LSTR into Pharaoh. The Supreme has all of the sounds and abilities of the Standard and Primitive Pharaohs, but with some very useful additions and a bit of a twist.
In place of the hi/lo switch,the Supreme utilizes a variable pre input control to infinitely adjust the saturation of the front end of the circuit from 1 to 10. In Place of the 3 way diode selector, the Supreme utilizes a 6 way rotary switch to select from the Standard Pharaoh diode settings, plus an additional 3 setting not available on the previous Pharaohs. The Pharaoh supreme allows selection from the following diode settings: Germanium, Asymmetrical Germanium(standard Pharaoh), Silicon (standard Pharaoh), Mosfet,LED and Bypass (standard Pharaoh).

The Pre knob control in addition to the Clip knob, produce an array of sounds and textures that expand the Pharaoh into the ultimate, or Supreme fuzz-stortion that Black Arts has produced.

To visually demonstrate the depth of the new Pharaoh Supreme, a huge 10mm green LED glows with a calm, deep and inviting look into the window of the Supreme soul.
