Ein bisschen Backstage-Info... 2016 haben wir einen Custom-Amp gebaut, der zwischen den Sounds eines 5E3 Tweed Deluxe und eines 6G2 Brownface Princeton morphen sollte. Wir mochten den Sound und das Gefühl des Verstärkers so sehr, dass wir beschlossen, ihn in einem Pedalformat einzufangen.

Der Falcon wurde als akribische Emulation der Schaltungen dieser Verstärker entwickelt. Bis ins kleinste Detail haben wir das Verhalten, den Sound und das Gefühl des Vorverstärkers, des Phasenumkehrers und der Endstufe dieser beiden Designs kopiert. Durch den Einsatz der JFET-Technologie ist es uns gelungen, nicht nur die übersteuerten Sounds, sondern auch die Low-Gain/Clean-Sounds nachzubilden.

Der wichtigste Teil war die Emulation der Kompression und der Ansprache, die von der Endstufe bzw. dem Röhrengleichrichter ausgehen. Dieser Effekt verbessert das dynamische, musikalische Gefühl des Pedals und macht es sehr reaktionsfreudig auf Ihren Picking-Angriff. Je nach Einstellung des Verstärkermodus und der Leistung der Gitarre bzw. des Tonabnehmers kann dieser Effekt mehr oder weniger stark ausgeprägt sein.

A bit of backstage info… back in 2016 we built a custom amp that was designed to morph between the sounds of a 5E3 Tweed Deluxe and a 6G2 Brownface Princeton. We liked the sound and feel of the amp so much that we decided to capture it in a pedal format.

     Falcon was designed as a painstakingly close emulation of the circuits found in these amps. With every detail in mind we copied the behavior, sound and feel of the preamp, phase inverter and power amp of both these designs. Applying JFET technology we managed to recreate not only the overdriven sounds but the lower gain / clean sounds as well.

     The most important part was emulating the compression and sag coming out of the power amp and tube rectifier respectively. This effect enhances the pedal’s dynamic, musical feel and makes it very responsive to your picking attack. Depending on amp mode setting and your guitar / pickup’s output this effect can be more or less pronounced.

Sidekick combines the most common time based effects and creative tools in a compact design , ideal for any fly-rig or small board setup. Starting with a fully analog, lush BBD chorus  for 3-dimensional sounds that can be also switched for less modulated delay time and extra feedback creating a flanger like effect. A sweet but sparky echo / delay with a maximum delay time of 700ms adds organic repeats to your tone while 3 algorithms of spacious reverb (exciter – taken from Splash mk3, plate and shimmer) create the perfect ambience.

Taking inspiration from the senior unit we released back in 2019, our goal was to create a compact pedal that would combine the most widely used time-based effects and would fit into any gear setup lurking for 80s tones and beyond. From the jangly, ambient and shimmering sounds of New Wave, Shoegaze and Synth Pop to the soaking wet tones of Hair / Glam Metal. Memphis Vibrato was designed as the “small brother” of our Killer V. Lots of our customers have asked for a true pitch shifting amp-like vibrato pedal, without the drive section, and we delivered.

It features all analog LFO and true-to-the-original-amp 2-stage pitch shifting circuit powered from an internal voltage multiplier for high headroom and improved dynamic response. A clean period correct preamp with up to 20db boost takes you back to the late 50s / early 60s.
