Die sogenannte S-Serie von DigiTech scheut bis heute das Rampenlicht der Pedal-Szenerie. Weder Sammler:innen noch Sound-Kenner:innen scheinen von diesem Thema angetan zu sein. Woran könnte das liegen?
Vielleicht erscheint der Versuch, fremde Pedal-Klassiker zu kopieren, für eine Firma, die sich einst als „America’s Pedal“ etablierte, vielen als zu asiatisch? Oder waren DigiTechs Kopien einfach zu offensichtlich? Schaut man sich das Portfolio dieser Serie an, trifft man auf fünf Zerr-Pedale – und die haben in der Tat nur ein Ziel: Bekannten Klassikern das Wasser abzugraben. Dazu kopierte man nicht nur die Schaltungen, sondern auch – bis auf eine Ausnahme – die Farben der jeweiligen Originale.

The Screamin' Blues Overdrive/Distortion pedal was designed for guitarists who want a pedal that responds to their unique playing dynamics while retaining the tone of their guitar and amp.
