Da Vinci has fully embodied the spirit of the Renaissance. He was a painter, a draftsman, a sculptor, an architect and an engineer. It is like having enclosed in one single figure all the human knowledge. Not by chance the compressor of the Da Vinci experience is dedicated to Leonardo, with the will to indicate thatinside. Perseus is a bronze sculpture made by Benvenuto Cellini, located in the Loggia dei Lanzi of Piazza della Signoria in Florence. The statue is famous for its languid pose and its excessive attention to details which make it unique. Perseus is represented with a dry physique and muscles pulled, intent on showing the head of Medusa, severed by a sword strike. The imaginary wants the blow to be fast and energetic. It seems impossible that all that strength came out of that slim and angelic body. The Perseus Boost is just so, simple for its control but, like a blade strike, it is extremely sharp and cared for in detail. It is an easy to use product, because it has only one control and, like Perseus, it is very powerful. (20db).

Not by chance the distortion is represented by the David, the Hero par excellence. The statue depicting him, carved from the hands of Michelangelo, is a masterpiece of sculpture and symbol of Florence, cradle of the pedals Dophix. David is represented when he is about to confront Goliath. His face is full of expressivity: proud look and penetrating eyes. The bust and the arms are characterized by strong lines, testimony of the one who is not afraid of anything or anyone. This is how the strong sound and character of our first pedalwas represented. the care given in the creation of the circuit and the warm feature of the sound made us shout:“The pedal is not afraid of anything and anyone!” Phrase paraphrased even by some users of the product, who have found the power on stage during the evenings live concerts.

Michelangelo combines the Dynamism of valve sound with the definition of a pedal effect.

The heart of Michelangelo is made entirely of JFET transistors, which characterize a dynamic and warm sound recreating the effect produced by a Tube (Valve) head.

Thanks to the three position switch it is possible to select three distortion modes with silicon, germanium and JFET semiconductors.

The possibility to choose the type of distortion makes Michelangelo extremely flexible, with distortions that offer the whole range from a boost, to light crunch, to overdrive up to a very defined distortion typical of the one produced by a valve head.

Another great feature of Michelangelo is the presence of a preamplifier and an output boost, both separately controllable and activated through a dedicated “BOOST” footswitch.
