Das EarthQuaker Devices Sunn O))) Life Pedal V3 bietet Distortion, Boost und einen regelbaren Octave-Up Effekt in einem kompakten Effektpedal. Die 'Amplitude' Sektion des Pedals basiert auf dem klassischen 'White Face' Distortion Pedal, die Schaltung wurde jedoch um drei wählbare Clipping-Modi erweitert. Die erste Position (No Diode OpAmp Drive) bietet einen satten Drive bei maximalem Volume. Die zweite Position nutzt zwei Silizium-Dioden und eine LED in einer asymmetrischen Clipping-Konfiguration und erzeugt einen leicht komprimierten, smoothen Crunch, der an einen übersteuerten Verstärker erinnert. Die dritte Position nutzt zwei Silizium-Dioden und erzeugt den klassischen 'White Face' Sound. Die Octave-Up Sektion arbeitet komplett analog und lässt sich über einen Regler oder ein optionales Expression Pedal stufenlos mit der Verzerrung mischen. Der monophone Effekt arbeitet am 'saubersten' mit einzelnen Noten oberhalb des 12. Bundes, die über den Neck Pickup gespielt werden. Akkorde erzeugen einen chaotischen, 'scheppernden' Sound. Dreht man den Octave-Regler voll auf erzeugt das Sunn O))) Life Pedal V2 einen dreckigen, wütenden Fuzz-Sound, der an das Super Fuzz erinnert. Die 'Magnitude' Sektion ist ein MOSFET Booster, der Röhrenverstärker in die Sättigung treibt. Der Booster arbeitet komplett clean und fügt dem Signal selbst keine Verzerrung hinzu, bietet dafür aber ein extrem hohes Output Level um das Front End des Amps zu pushen. Der Signalweg geht Octave > Distortion > Boost, dabei lassen sich beide Sektionen unabhängig voneinander nutzen.

The EarthQuaker Devices Sunn O))) Life Pedal V3 offers distortion, boost and an adjustable octave-up effect in a compact effects pedal. The Warden ist ein analoges Kompressor-Pedal mit klassischer Opto-Elektronikschaltung in kompromissloser Studioqualität. Auch bei The Warden setzt EarthQuaker Devices auf High-Grade-Bauteile. The Warden ist ein dank seiner sechs Regelmöglichkeiten (Tone, Level, Sustain, Ratio, Attack und Release) äußerst vielseitig einstellbares Kompressor-Pedal. Von einer kaum wahrnehmbaren, aber wirkungsvollen Kompression bis hin zu heftig komprimierten Tönen mit schnellem Attack reicht das Spektrum von The Warden. Die 9V-Netzgerätespannung wird intern in 18V umgewandelt, was für erweiterten Headroom und gesteigerte Dynamik sorgt. Die Opto-elektronische Schaltung bewirkt eine charakterstarke Kompression und der Tone-Regler ermöglicht sowohl Treble-Boosts als auch Treble-Cuts. The Warden ist mit einem True Bypass ausgestattet und wird in Handarbeit in Ohio/USA hergestellt. Der Warden V2 verfügt über einen geräuschlosen, relais-basierten Soft-Touch Fußschalter. Audiosignale haben keinen Durchgang, wenn das Gerät nicht mit Strom versorgt wird.

The Warden is an analog, optical compressor with a feature set usually reserved for studio grade units. Like all EarthQuaker Devices pedals it is built only with high grade components. The Warden is, thanks to its six controls (Tone, Level, Sustain, Ratio, Attack and Release), an extremely versatile and adjustable compressor pedal. The Warden will allow everything from a heavy squash with fast attack and release to barely there subtle compression. The 9V power supply voltage will be internally converted to 18V giving loads of headroom and extended dynamism. The optical electronic circuit delivers a compression with more character and the Tone control allows for treble boosts and cuts. The Warden is true bypass and handmade in Ohio/USA. The Warden V2 uses silent relay-based soft touch switching. Audio will not pass without power.

As the Plumes® Small Signal Shredder continues to defy our wildest sales expectations, we decided to crank it down a couple of notches and design a similar circuit that is ideal for bass players and all purveyors of low end.

Behold the mighty Blumes® Low Signal Shredder, the first EarthQuaker device created specifically for bass players! The industrious Blumes is also the perfect pedal for guitarists’ deep overdrive needs, especially for the drop-tuned masters.

While embodying most of the kick ass characteristics and features of the Plumes, we went ahead and modified this circuit with double the gain and a deeper bass response to retain all the low end. Lower gain settings provide all of the crunchy tone found in the Plumes, but once you get above noon on the gain control, that’s where the similarities stop. Now you’re in bass country, baby!

Anleihen bei  einem bekannten grünen Zerrpedal lassen sich erkennen, aber das Palisades ist weitaus mehr und mit den gebotenen Optionen eines der vielseitigsten Overdrive-Pedale überhaupt. Außer der Möglichkeit zweier unterschiedlich einstellbarer Gain-Channels bietet das Palisades einen Fußschaltbaren Volume-Boost, einen Bright-Schalter sowie über einen Buffer On/Off-Schalter. The Palisandes is an exceptionally versatile Overdrive pedal with 2 channels, 6 different clipping voices and 5 bandwidth settings. Hints of a well-known green overdrive pedal can be noticed but with all its added options the Palisades is much more than that. In addition to the independently adjustable gain channels the Palisades features a foot-switchable volume boost as well as Normal/Bright and Buffer on/off toggle switches. Boost and Gain B features can be activated in standard latching operation or in momentary operation, by just holding the footswitch down for as long as youd use the effect. The Palisades features True bypass and is hand made in Ohio, USA. The Palisades V2 uses silent relay-based soft touch switching. Audio will not pass without power.
