Greetings, dungeon masters! Stoke the fires in the seventh circle of tone with the Bellows! This little two-knobber is a nod to the non-master volume amps of yesteryear and the fiery tones that come only from diming these vintage behemoths and letting 'er rip until the tubes catch fire. For your safety, and the safety of others, the Bellows packs these tones into a compact Dirt Device without any of the pyrotechnics.

The Bellows isn’t based on anything in particular, but it straddles the line between amp-like grit and fuzzy saturation, with a bunch of useful distorted places in between, capturing nearly every era of Rock-and-Roll in a box. If I were you (and it’s a good thing I’m not) I’d resist the usual urge to dime it right away, as the Bellows’ character changes dramatically based on where the “Drive” is set.

Our simple, scorched-earth approach to design leaves the full frequency response of your instrument intact, which makes the Bellows a great bass overdrive, and guarantees that what goes into the Bellows is what comes out, only hotter. On lower "Drive" settings, you'll find responsive and dynamic amp-like breakup. Dime it, and you'll hear full-on thermonuclear saturation. Just remember, where there's smoke, there's fire.

Das EarthQuaker Devices Afterneath V3 klingt ein wenig so, wie es aussieht: Wie ein Sound-Zauberer, der eine riesige Höhle betritt und sich in die Ambient-Reverb-Schlacht wirft. Das Pedal bietet ein extrem breites Spektrum an unterschiedlichen, riesigen, ausladenden und magischen Ambient-Reverbs und deckt von wilden, verschlungenen Hall-Effekten über atmosphärische, kurze, digitale Delays bis zu Staccato-artigen, rhythmischen Wiederholungen mit bizarren Sounds alle denkbaren Effekte ab. Die Regelmöglichkeiten für Length (Länge des Nachhalls), Dampen (Tone), Reflect (Depth, Regeneration) und Mix (Wet/Dry-Mix) sind bekannte Parameter bei Reverb-Pedalen und arbeiten sehr intuitiv. Der Diffuse-Regler kontrolliert die Streuung des Nachhalls und ermöglicht je nach Setting aggressivere Sounds, bei denen das Einsetzen der einzelnen Wiederholungen deutlicher hörbar oder weicher und verwaschener wird. Der Drag-Regler trennt die digitalen Delay-Gruppen voneinander. So rücken den Repeats je nach Setting näher aneinander (Hall-ähnlicher Effekt) oder werden auseinander gezogen, sodass statt eines Halls verstreute Ping-Pong-Effekte zu hören sind.

The EarthQuaker Devices Afterneath V3 sounds a lot like it looks: a sound wizard bursting forth from ethereal cave and ready for the ambient reverb battle. The pedal offers an extremely wide range of different, vast, expansive, and magical ambient reverbs and covers all possible effects from wild and cavernous reverb effects to atmospheric reverberations of short digital delays to scattered, rhythmic delays with bizarre characteristics. The controls for Length (decay length of the reverb), Dampen (tone), Reflect (depth, regeneration) and Mix (wet/dry mix) are well-known parameters for reverb pedals and work very intuitively. The Diffuse knob adjusts the spread of the reverb, turned counterclockwise, the reverb is sharper with more attack, resulting in a stuttering sputter of individual early reflections. Clockwise casts a washy, more ambient-sounding effect. Drag separates the individual digital delay lines, clockwise positions will gather the delay lines close together for a more reverb-like effect. Turn the Drag counterclockwise, and the delay lines will begin to pull apart for a scattered ping-pong delay effect.

Genau, EarthQuaker Devices haben ein digitales Delay, ein analoges Delay und ein Tape Delay genommen und sie alle in einem Pedal mit sechs Presets, einem Tap-Tempo und einer vom Benutzer zuweisbaren Expression-Steuerung zusammengeführt. Mit nur vier Reglern, einem Dreiwege-Schalter, einem Save/Recall-Knopf und zwei Fußschaltern hat er das Unmögliche möglich gemacht, und jetzt soll dein Gitarrenspiel die Früchte ernten!
Jeder der drei Modi bietet eine Verzögerungszeit von bis zu einer Sekunde, was eine längere Verzögerung als bei unseren anderen Delay-Pedalen ermöglicht. Von der 12 Uhr-Stellung und zurück sind es 500 Millisekunden bis Null, was seinen eigenen Charakter hat. Von 500 Millisekunden bis zu einer Sekunde Verzögerungszeit ist es ein ganz anderes Biest. Stelle eine kürzere Verzögerungszeit ein und es erzeugt eine Menge Atmosphäre und Vibes. Wenn du weiter aufdrehst, erhältst du rhythmische Verzögerungen, die sich perfekt zum Strumming eignen und deinen Riffs zusätzliche Atmosphäre verleihen. Und das Tap-Tempo ist wirklich präzise und reaktionsschnell, so dass du dein Tempo schon bei den ersten Umdrehungen festlegen kannst.

Take a moment to compose yourself, we totally understand. Let us give you a little backstory; it all started when EQD founder Jamie Stillman was admiring his three favorite delay pedals from his personal collection and began ruminating on their vast differences. This sparked an ambitious foray into uncharted territory in finding a way to assemble them all together as one uncomplicated unit. After months of tinkering, his mission was accomplished and the Silos™ was born. With just four knobs, one three-way switch, one Save/Recall button, and two footswitches, he made the impossible possible and now your guitar playing shall reap the rewards! 
Each of the three modes offers up to one second of delay time which allows it to be a longer delay than our other delay pedals. From noon and back is 500 milliseconds to zero, which has its own character. From 500 milliseconds to one second of delay time, it’s an entirely different beast. Dial them in for shorter delay times where they really excel and add loads of atmosphere and vibes. Push them further for rhythmic delays that are perfect for strumming and adding extra ambiance for your riffs. And the tap tempo is truly precise and responsive so you can lock in your rate quickly within the first revolutions.

Plumes™ is a low to medium gain overdrive based on the trusty lime-green overdrive that has been an industry staple since its inception. This is the kind of overdrive that works in conjunction with a good valve amp to create the warm saturation people like to call “transparent”.
