It's a much, much smaller than the ST-1 at only 3.9" wide x 4" deep, and more intelligent version of the epic Supa-Trem1. Sporting True-Bypass,Tap-Tempo, external Tap jack, Half/Double hold feature, up to 15dB boost, true Square, Sine, and the natural heartbeat-like Warble wave-forms! It also can do speeds so slow that a full cycle takes around 10 seconds, and fast speeds beyond 220bpm. The heart of the ST-1 is still there, the warm Analog Devices JFET preamp. And this pedal is so small it will fit in your pocket, and with its top-mounted jacks, will fit in any little spot on your board. Don't forget, just like the ST-1, the Jr also works as an incredible clean boost with the Mix control turned down!

Housed in a beautiful powder coated Blue 16ga. steel enclosure, the dual-channel Full-Drive 2 Mosfet gives you the best of both worlds. The first channel is the Overdrive Mode, capable of clean boost or non-compressed overdrive or choose light to medium softer overdrives all while retaining your guitar's original tone. The Tone knob is a very effective presence control that can smooth out or add upper harmonics. The second channel is the "Boost Mode" with its own separate distortion control for medium to higher gains with a more singing violin-like sustain!

One mini-toggle lets you choose between a "Vintage" FD2 sound with mid-heavy tones that cut through the mix and "FM (flat-mids)" for a more natural, transparent sound that works awesome with a Strat's neck pickup.
The other mini-toggle lets you choose between Mosfet and Normal clipping modes. Normal mode is even more asymmetrical, sweeter and more open, with no "blanket" over the sound.

Full-Drive 2 Mosfet

The CS-ABY-ST is now the "v2," is now Black , still the best ABY switcher in the world, and just got a LOT smaller!

The CS-ABY-ST V2 has silent soft switches. No pops, no ticks, and no electrocutions, thanks to a Nickel core custom-wound 1:1 transformer that doesn't boost the treble frequencies like the "industry standard" transformer does, so fuzzes played through the True-Path sound round and distortions don't sound strident. I can hear it, so can you.

Using the most advanced 4 opto switching system ever, yet also offering the purest signal. I developed our photocells over the last year with a rather patient optocoupler manufacturer (Thanks Fred), and my cells only have around only 50 ohms series resistance compared to the Vactecs (which all other optocoupler switchers use) offering a whopping 300-400 ohms of series resistance to your guitar's signal. I can hear 300 ohms... you can hear 300-400 ohms.

True-Path ABY-HT, ST

What does it do best? Clean Boost, non compressed crunch tones (ala Jimmy Page, 70's Jeff beck) and non-compressed distortion/fuzz sounds...accent on NON-compressed. Other unusual traits of the Catalyst are its tight low end and ability to give both flat EQ and accentuated Mid distortions simply by manipulating its 2 band EQ.

Until the Catalyst...only Fuzzface-type pedals Truly cleaned up when you turn down the guitar's volume knob, but Fuzzfaces tend to get unuseably bright for most players as you turn the guitar's volume down...not the Catalyst, that's something that Jeff beck has recenlty noticed & embraced about the Catalyst.

Catalyst can be a FUZZ/Distortion (with toggle switch set to "Flame" position)

Catalyst can be a Phenomenal clean-boost, and overdrive as well (with toggle switch set to "Spark" setting)

Catalyst can be so raw yet can be so refined, and so musically useable that it can be confusing to those used to the standard fare "one trick ponies"

Catalyst

The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.
