Steampunk Boost/Buffer

The Airchild Six Sixty Compressor is our sonic interpretation of the famous vintage 660 studio compressor. Consistently regarded as the best compressor ever made. For years we have used the original 660 and 670 (Stereo) compressors in the studio and decided to try and make that sonic signature available to the guitar community without the $10-$100k price tag.

The typical iconic guitar compressor has created very recognizable tones throughout the history of music, especially Country music. That being said we felt that there were already too many clones of that legendary circuit with few other variants available.

J. Rockett Audio Designs’ IQ Compressor is a compressor with a 6-band graphic EQ. The EQ is pre-compressor — an arrangement that gives you control over which frequencies, based on their gain settings, get compressed harder. Each EQ frequency slider has an 18dB boost/cut range. The IQ compressor is equipped with volume and mix controls. Volume adjusts the output level and the Mix control blends your compressed and dry signals. The slight volume bump as you engage the Mix control can be mitigated with the Volume pot.

I.Q. Compressor

The J. Rockett APE (Analog Preamp Experiment) is a pedal designed to recreate the analog preamp design found in vintage tape echo machines like the Echoplex. It’s not just a preamp, but rather the entire analog circuit from input to output, including the sonic influence of the tape heads. The pedal runs at 22.5 volts, just like the original tape echo preamps, and can add warmth and character to your tone.

The APE has a simple mission: to make antiseptic digital delay sound enormous and organic. It achieves this by using a series and send/return configuration, enhanced EQ and saturation shaping control, and the ability to add variable gain and distortion to repeated notes. This makes it much more than just a simple one-knob boost in front of your delay.

The GTO was created with Nashville session ace Guthrie Trapp to create an incredibly versatile session overdrive

Inspired by a vintage Nobels ODR-1. The GTO has a much tighter bottom, less gain and more cut in the mix. It can go from super mild to a really nice, dynamic OD feel. This pedal has compression but in a great way. You can use it as a clean boost and EQ or you can bring in the dirt.
