The Nine Series Overdrive Pro+ takes Maxon’s classic OD-9 circuit and serves it up with two side orders of Whoop-Ass in the form of 9/18 volt operation and a Mid Boost switch.

In 9-volt setting the Pro+ sounds and functions like the standard OD-9 with the added option of a healthy +3 dB of midrange boost at approximately 800 Hz (actual frequency is dependent on Control settings) – great for cutting through a band during solos.
When set to 18-volts the OD-9 Pro+ becomes an 800-pound Gorilla, offering up beefier lows, tighter saturation, improved dynamics and a chunky, aggressive pick attack that will make your amp sound and feel like it just took a Viagra.  Switch on the Mid Boost in this mode and let your solos breathe fire.

OD9 Pro+ Overdrive

The Extreme shares the same basic circuit architecture as the OD808. However, several key component values have been altered to achieve what may be the ultimate overdrive tone.

The OD808X offers a wider frequency response than a stock OD808, with an extended hi-frequency tonal range that offers additional clarity without becoming harsh.

It also features a harder clipping pattern than the standard model, creating a searing, full-bodied drive tone that helps chords ring and notes sing.

OD808X Overdrive Extreme

The VOP has a warm, smooth tone without the “fizziness” or mid-spike associated with many solid state pedals.  It offers a tight, punchy bottom end with just a hint of mild compression and works equally well with clean or distorted amps to produce a rich, velvety guitar tone.

Based on Maxon’s legendary “808” circuit, the VOP-9 has a few hidden tricks in the design that set it apart from your ordinary overdrive.

The analog signal path of the Maxon FL-9 Flanger pedal uses the Panasonic MN3207 BBD IC to create some of the richest, thickest flanging and time-delay effects possible. Rate, Depth, and Regeneration controls allow the user to dial in everything for shimmering chorus and vibrato to hollow, metallic overtones to thick, jet-like flanging sweeps. In addition to standard controls the FL-9 features a Delay Time knob that allows for a vast array of all-new spatial effects.
