All of the tone of the MI Amplification Megalith Beta 180W amplifier distilled down to stompbox form by none other than the designer himself. The Megalith Delta contains all of the tightness and heavy bottom-end giving you that complex and sophisticated signature Megalith tone.

“So many amp-in-the-box designs leave so much behind. It takes years of R&D to truly understand the variables behind great high gain tones. But by designing the amplifier from the ground up, I was able to really grasp how to make a complex, sophisticated high gain sound that kept all the nuances, huge bottom end and the clarity and character of the top end. Without this knowledge, it is very hard to capture all of the feel and tone that, as a guitarist, we come to connect with in our amplifier. Factors such as operating points, dynamic range, scaling of clipping thresholds, output impedances, and intrinsic capacitances due to things like the miller effect etc. all went into the design of the Megalith Delta. It is not a standard JFET copy of a preamp circuit, but for a design that captures the power of the Megalith Beta amplifier.”

The Blues Pro’s classic three-knob design is now bigger and better! All of the variables of this modified TS design are now on the face of the pedal for the ultimate in low/mid-gain tone-shaping. A plethora of overdrive tones await: Be it a low-gain boost, a harmonic blues solo tone or super-compressed fuzz – all can be dialled and switched in with the new expanded feature set. The classic compressed, mid-hump overdrive of the original is still there but is now surrounded by many more options for you to find your custom overdrive tone!

Perhaps the most exciting feature of the Super Blues Pro is the presence of two toggle switches that control the pair of soft-clipping diodes in the circuit. Each switch provides a choice of SILICON, MOSFET or NONE, with each combination giving different clipping symmetry, therefore different boosted harmonics. Each clipping combination also affects the output volume, attack of the signal and compressions allowing you to tailor an overdrive for your needs. For a compressed and throaty overdrive like the original, go for SILICON. If you want a more open OD and brighter attack, try out the MOSFETs, or find a blend in between. Using NONE is perfect for a low-gain boost to drive the front-end of your amp if natural tube overdrive is your sound.

The Boost ‘n’ Buff is a booster and a buffer pedal that should be an essential on every pedal board, whether to keep your original guitar tone intact or to boost the signal in three different ways; FULL, MID and TREBLE. The backbone of the Cross Over Drive is four FET transistors designed to capture the response and touch-sensitivity of an amp’s organic overdrive. But making a FET stage behave like a particular tube stage is actually a very complex affair and is not a simple substitute like most other FET-based preamp circuits. Our experience in designing valve amplifiers at MI Audio has seen us obsess over every minute detail of the Cross Over Drive’s circuit from operating points, dynamic range, scaling of clipping thresholds, output impedances, intrinsic capacitances due to the Miller Effect… you get the idea! This obsession has led to an original pedal design like no other that becomes a natural extension of your guitar, amp and playing style.

The most coveted guitar tones are those where the guitar, player and amplifier work as one. Every attack on the guitar string, be it by plectrum or finger pick, legato to down-stroke, neck or bridge pickup –all provide a different tone and feel that traditional overdrive pedals can struggle to capture. This response has been the driving force behind the design of the Cross Over Drive and this attention to detail is what sets it apart from the pack.
