The Black Beast is a massive sounding fuzz/distortion pedal for guitar or bass.
As you can guess from its name, this is not a smooth vintage germanium fuzz but
a modern distortion machine for all kinds of dirty or heavy sounds.

The magic of the pedal is in the knob called KAPUTT (german for broken/out of order). This control changes the gain structure from plain harmonic distortion to all out nasty fuzz. You can dial in the exact sweet (or not so sweet) spot where you have both: great string separation and clarity of chords AND that buzzy, gnarly crazyness we all love a good fuzz for.

This box delivers loads of gain and sustain for days. The active 2-band tone control provides a wide range of sounds – warm or biting, with tight bass or massive low end.

Der Okko CocaComp ist ein weiteres Pedal aus der Leipziger Edel-Effektschmiede, von der schon bisher Geräte wie der Twinsonic, Black Beast, Dominator und andere sämtliche bonedo-Tests mit Höchstbewertungen durchliefen. Eine Herausforderung also für unseren aktuellen Kandidaten, der als Kompressor diesmal zu den Effekten gehört, die die Dynamik eines Tonsignals beeinflussen, indem sie Lautstärkeunterschiede ausgleichen und Pegelspitzen verhindern.

The Coca Compressor is a studio quality compressor and clean boost pedal.
It doesn’t color your tone but enhances it.

In memory of one of the (if not THE) last true rock’n’roll icons, OKKO presents the MOTÖRBASS pedal. You’re all familiar with Lemmy’s signature sound – ultra powered rumbling grind, distorted, slightly fuzzy but with a lot of edge and definition for high speed hammering powerchords.

It would be presumptuous to claim you could get the exact sound of the iconic modified Marshall Super Bass stack from a 9-volts-powered box... but we did a lot of tweaking to capture that sonic character and we’re pretty happy with the result.

When trying the recreate the Lemmy sound with distortion pedals you easily run into problems. Bass distortions often lack the aggressive edge or get muddy when playing chords. Guitar distortions usually cut too much low end and often sound too fizzy. The MOTÖRBASS runs on an internal voltage of 24 volts*. Paired with carefully chosen filtering, this massive headroom ensures for a raw but tight distortion sound all across the fretboard.

Controls are easy: FASTER controls the gain from almost clean to full blast. HARDER works on the upper mids. Lower settings sound more rounded, turning up adds aggressive bite and attack. LOUDER? Hmm....

The MOTÖRBASS is not only for die hard Motörhead fanatics but for every bass player wanting a powerful, tight rock sound. Now, grab a pick and PLAY HARD!
Btw., don’t lend it to your guitar player, chances are you’ll never get it back...
