Gritty overdrive, low gain fuzz, vintage preamp – no matter how you call it, the Holy Grit combines the clarity and dynamic response of a great overdrive with the raw and complex texture of a vintage fuzz. The intuitive controls let you dial in anything from cleanish boost with a little grit to full-blown vintage „amp on 11“ sounds. Plug it into a clean or driven amp, stack with boosters, overdrives or fuzz pedals, Holy Grit will deliver – for guitar, bass, keys or whatever you want to spice up.

The circuit is based on the classic Fuzz Face/Tone Bender but heavily tweaked into something else. We’re using a set of matched low gain silicon transistors here (parts numbers may differ from one unit to another), voiced between germanium warmth and silicon presence.

Holy Grit

The Cocaine features the same optical compressor circuit as its little two-knob brother, the much beloved COCA COMPRESSOR but offers a lot more controls and tone-shaping features.

The compression is controlled by two knobs. They do pretts much what their labels say:
SUSTAIN adds nothing but clean undistorted sustain to your tone.
SQUASH goes from subtle tone-enhancing to a more pronounced compression effect, but even at full tilt it will preserve the attack of your instrument and keep its character.

Cocaine

You know all the legendary vintage russian Big Muffs sound a bit different and some just have that extra punch, complexity and depth that sets them apart from the rest.
Such a specimen, a particular bold sounding early V7D Bubble Font, was used as a model for the BFGRMWB. We studied and measured all the components in great detail and created a pedal that reproduces that sound without compromise.
But that’s not all, we added some benefits: The RUMBLE knob can tame the thunderous bass response, the MID RANGE control puts the punch where it belongs and the active PRESENCE circuit can remove harsh treble or add countour and definition.

Diablo

The TwinSonic MkII brings back our classic TwinSonic and takes it to another level. What we got here is two OD circuits which can be used independently or stacked together.
Combining the both opens up plenty possibilities, you can go all the way from edge of breakup into heavy vintage distortion or fuzz territory.

The blue channel is the original TwinSonic circuit, a discrete OD with a bold, open, grainy sound like a cranked vintage amp. It’s incredibly dynamic and cleans up perfectly with the guitar volume control.
The newly designed red channel is a transparent Overdrive with a slightly smoother gain structure, designed to perfectly stack with the blue side or to add some dirt and harmonics to your base sound on its own. The gain range goes from sparkly clean to dynamic singing mid gain overdrive.
