BL-52 is a phase repeater pedal within our BL line. Phase repetition is a unique effect to OBNE - it lives between phaser and reverb, sounding almost like a room constantly changing in size and materials, with a clear repeat one moment and a diffuse repeat the next. The Clock slider allows this sound to move quickly and with fidelity, or slowly and darkly, undulating underneath the player.

BL-52 Phase Repeater

The Reflector Chorus is no longer in production, but many units exist out there in the world. For posterity, we present its details here.

Reflector V3 was a dense lush chorus coupled with three modes of modulation. This was a chorus with a bent, an ephemeral voice floating between aural dimensions.

Controls included Rate and Depth for the chorus LFO, Mix for a balance between unaffected and affected signal, and Modulate for unique control in each mode: pitch shift, reverb blend, and filter depth. A three-way toggle switch allows the player to choose between three modes: Wrinkle, a deep chorus with an additional pitch shift from one octave down to one octave up; Washed, a simple lush chorus feeding into a reverb; and Mirrors, a chorus and moving filter linked via the chorus rate.

The Reflector V3 featured an expression out jack and clickless switching. The output level could be tweaked via an internal trimpot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain.

Expression Ramper X3 is more than the sum of its parts. It starts with three individual Expression Rampers, which are devices allowing you to pick two expression settings and move between them, either in one motion or as a continuous LFO activated by a footswitch. It then adds tempo syncing, new LFO shapes, and other external controls, all in one tidy box. It is the ultimate device for getting new sounds out of your existing expression-enabled pedals.

Flat Light

Dark Light is a dual reverb featuring both Dark Star and Sunlight. With all the routing options you could want, including separate stereo, parallel mono, and series mono, Dark Light takes Dark Star’s dark pitch shifted, delayed, and bit crushed reverb voices and Sunlight’s bright modulated, comb filtered, and bandpassed reverb voices and combines them into one massive sound to take your time and drift away in. Each pedal maintains its core sound and control set, then expands from there.
