It’s a dub-flavoured digital delay (based on our Echo-X delay pedal), that also produces low, throbbing drones that can also be mixed through the delay circuit. If you play shoegaze, doom/heavy/psychedelic rock, or ambient music it’s a fantastic tool for making a powerful base note to play over. Maybe you play in a two piece band? Then it’s essential! Drone Rainger

The RaingerFx Dr Freakenstein Fuzz DrFF-3 and Igor is a full-on fuzz distortion pedal, housed in Rainger's own original design steel desk-type enclosure.

Along with a volume control, there’s an overtone knob which controls the pitch of the harmonic overtone in the sound. This sounds great at any setting, but becomes very exciting as you adjust it – like a cross between a wah wah and a phaser. So an LFO option is incorporated to modulate this control (giving a triangle wave-shape, speed adjustable from a slow sweep to a fast wobble). There’s a switch (‘MOD’) on the front panel to turn this on or off, the status and speed of the oscillator shown by the red and white throbbing meter backlight.

The DrFF-3 has a hi/lo intensity pushbutton on the back panel, switching the overtone from a lower ‘inside the sound’ to a higher-pitched in-your-face zip. On the low setting it’s possible to get a strong – perfectly tracking – low octave introduced, especially when the guitar’s neck pickup is selected. Add an LFO fast wobble, and great thick organ-esque tones are possible.

Dr Freakenstein Fuzz DRFF-3

This is a sidechainer pedal, an effect that ducks your instrument’s signal each time it gets a trigger – capable of putting deep spaces into your sound!

It’s an effect that’s heard on many recordings, often subtly – like when a rock rhythm guitar is sidechained with the kick drum, so every time the kick drum hits, the guitar volume dips slightly for that instant – giving a really powerful overall effect… The guitar sounds pumping, or spring-loaded!

Whatever way you use it, this sidechaining effect has NEVER been so easily available – and controllable – as with the Deep Space Pulsar! (Up to now, it’s always been an effect that’s added in post-production – hardly ever live).

Deep Space Pulsar

The Minidrone is a stripped-down version of the Drone Rainger. It’s really fun to play over, and is a great foundation for improvisation, songwriting and dramatic live performance. 

It’s a deep and huge analogue synth, with modulation, made of up to three low-pitched triangle-wave oscillators mixed together.

Two of these oscillators are always in unison whatever the pitch - this is Drone 1 - though very slightly out-of-tune with each other. This creates ‘beats’ between them, a slow, wide-band modulation that keeps the drone very listenable. The pitch is controlled by ‘Pitch1’.

Add in the other tone generator - Drone2 - and you can make any kind of musical interval between the drones; major and minor thirds, a fifth, octaves, or thick unison.

Minidrone

The Pull Focus is a high gain distortion pedal, with either a reverb or chorus effect fading in after a short while. 

The distortion is all analog, the reverb, chorus and the fade-in are all digital. 
Plus there’s a noise gate too, which unobtrusively keeps the pedal silent when you’re not playing.

It’s very intuitive and fun to use!
It’s a multi-effects pedal, of a very particular kind….
