Shift Line are huge fans of the Fender sound. Shift Line Twin mkII is based on the '65 Fender Twin combo amp. Twin recreates the authentic sound of the 30kg (64lbs) combo in a 600g (1.3lbs) box, adding some useful features in the process. Overall design and testing took us about 5 years. We spent most of this time comparing our preamp with the original amp face-to-face, (we had the original one in our workshop). After that, the device was tested for live and studio use by musicians.

We also added some options to further improve Twin's flexibility. We added a series effects loop, a phones output and an aux input. The recording output with a specifically designed switchable speaker simulator is the final touch to this Swiss knife for any guitar player.

Twin MkII "Blackface"

Every guitar or bass player has their own favorite amps and cabinets. Yet however much you love a stack's sound, you will probably have trouble hurling it on and off the stage, let alone playing it at home (unless you don't mind your family and neighbors going deaf). And you never know the quality of the backline the venue is going to provide you with.

The solution for gigging players came in the form of cabinet simulation units (cabsims), which let you approximate your favourite cabinet's sound. Analog cabsims were pretty good for plugging into the PA but used to lack detail in their sound — and they only modeled a limited number of cabinets. Next came digital cabsims, and their incredibly detailed sound pushed cabinet simulation to a whole new level. They were, however, quite expensive and not pedalboard-friendly enough.

This eventually led us to creating the A+ Cab Zone LE — a digital IR-based cabinet simulation device. The Impulse Response Convolution technology provides a realistic sound and preserves the unique character of the cabinet and microphone used to record the impulse.

Prism-9

The Prism III is a unique sound texture generator. The pedal's 22 complex algorithms combine additive synthesis, reverb and various types of modulation (frequency, amplitude, time). It's hard to pinpoint a single role for this compact stereo device, so the name highlights its three key elements: modulation, filtering, and pad creation.

The Prism III can be easily integrated into any setup (even the most esoteric one). The pedal's interface saves settings automatically, and the parameters can be controlled externally via MIDI or CV.
