The Skreddy Pedals™ BC239 FUZZ is a throwback to the late "rams head" era.  The BC239 transistor will tend to render less bass, resulting in a more biting and articulate muff tone.  Add to that the fact that the later rams heads employed plastic film capacitors instead of the softer, grittier tone of ceramic discs used in the triangle knobs and earlier rams heads, and you get a clear, cutting top end.  You'll hear every detail of its velvety distortion.  I'm preserving articulation by keeping the gain in check just enough and not letting it get too mushy or syrupy.  Nice and hot with ample harmonics and of course great sustain.  Rather than a round, fluty tone, you'll get a meaty grind even in your high notes.

Little Miss Sunshine

The Rubber Soul takes the classic "normal" channel and blends it in with the "bright" channel just like most folks would probably tend to use the old amps with those two channels: jumpered and blended. So you get the cutting presence of the bright channel but with a bit of the beef and fullness of the normal channel added in--just not so much that it turns to mud at high gain.

The Rubber Soul responds very much like a tube amp would to your pickup volumes and to the impact of running other effect pedals in front of it.

Rubber Soul

The Skreddy™ Echo was designed to take over the duties of my old, green, tube tape echo.  My design goals were simple: 1) make it sound right; 2) it should inspire.  It is intended to emulate electro-mechanical units of the past and is not clean or pristine.

The repeats degrade very gradually into a musical, harmonic soup if you turn them up high enough.  Self oscillation is possible (though not in a touchy or unpredictable way) without the bothersome runaway volume some old analog delays have.
