Der ZIO Analog Bass Preamp + DI ist ein ultra-rauscharmes, rein analoges Klangformungswerkzeug, das speziell für Bass entwickelt wurde. Der Bass ZIO bietet eine große Bandbreite an Klangoptionen in einem kompakten Gehäuse mit intuitiven Bedienelementen. Dieser erstklassige Vorverstärker/DI wurde in Zusammenarbeit zwischen Source Audio Ingenieur Jesse Remignanti und Christopher Venter von SHOE Pedals (Schöpfer des DOD Looking Glass und der SHOE Savior Machine) entwickelt. Es verwendet hochwertige Burr-Brown-Operationsverstärker, die einen maximalen Headroom und eine einfache, aber leistungsstarke Reihe von Equalizer-, Gain- und Klangfarbenreglern bieten. Außerdem bietet er drei unabhängige Ausgänge: einen Standard-¼"-Ausgang, einen symmetrischen XLR-Ausgang und einen zusätzlichen Kopfhörerausgang.
Bass ZIO ist sehr einfach zu bedienen. Er verfügt über eine Reihe intuitiver Regler, mit denen sich eine außergewöhnlich vielfältige Auswahl an Bass-Sounds erzielen lässt. Der OUTPUT-Regler bietet eine Gesamtverstärkung von +16 dB über dem Unity Gain sowie eine Absenkung von -6 dB. BASS und FOCUS bieten eine enorme Flexibilität, wenn sie zusammen verwendet werden. Der BASS-Regler sorgt für eine deutliche Anhebung der tiefen Frequenzen bei etwa 100 Hz, während der FOCUS-Regler den Cut-Off-Punkt eines Hochpassfilters verschiebt, um zu tiefe Frequenzen zu zähmen. Zusammen sorgen BASS und FOCUS für die nötige Power, um kolossale Bässe mit einem kräftigen Punch zu erzeugen, ohne dass diese durch schwammige Bässe behindert werden. Der TREBLE-Regler hebt die hohen Frequenzen an oder senkt sie ab, um entweder die Artikulation zu verstärken, ohne dabei zu hart zu klingen, oder um die Attack-Transienten weicher zu gestalten.
Mit den GRIT- und SCOOP-Schaltern bietet der ZIO außerdem zwei dynamische, äußerst nützliche Optionen zur Klangfärbung. Der GRIT-Schalter ermöglicht eine natürlich klingende Verzerrung, die die Magie des transformatorartigen Aufbrechens einfängt, den Ton, der entsteht, wenn ein leistungsstarker Bassverstärker an seine Grenzen gebracht wird. Die Verstärkung des GRIT-Schalters kann mit einem GAIN-Regler an der Seite des Pedals eingestellt werden. Der SCOOP-Kippschalter aktiviert eine spezielle Mittenabsenkung, um "matschige" Frequenzen zu bereinigen. Das Cut-Profil des SCOOP basiert auf dem legendären "Pultec Trick" - einer altehrwürdigen Pultec EQP-1A Equalizer-Einstellung (ein Studio-Rack-Equalizer, der ursprünglich in den 1950er Jahren auf den Markt kam), die Studiotechniker regelmäßig wählen, wenn sie einen klaren Bass-Sound benötigen.
Das Pedal verfügt außerdem über drei Ausgänge, die einzeln oder gleichzeitig verwendet werden können. Die ¼" OUTPUT-Buchse wird an einen Verstärker oder ein Pedalboard angeschlossen. Der DIRECT OUT ist ein symmetrischer XLR-Ausgang mit einem Ground LIFT-Schalter. Der XLR-Ausgang erzeugt einen Verstärkercharakter, wenn er direkt an ein Mischpult oder ein Audio-Interface für Aufnahme- oder Live-Sound-Anwendungen angeschlossen wird. Die HEADPHONE-Buchse verfügt über einen rauscharmen Verstärker mit hohem Dynamikbereich, der auch Studio-Kopfhörer mit niedriger Impedanz ansteuern kann.

The ZIO Analog Bass Preamp + DI is an ultra-low noise, all-analog tone shaping tool voiced specifically for bass. Bass ZIO offers an expansive range of tonal options in a compact housing with an intuitive set of controls. This first-rate preamp/DI was a collaborative between Source Audio engineer Jesse Remignanti and Christopher Venter of SHOE Pedals (creator of the DOD Looking Glass and the SHOE Savior Machine). It utilizes high-quality Burr-Brown Op-Amps which provide maximum headroom and a simple yet powerful set of equalization, gain, and tone coloring controls. It also offers three independent outputs: a standard ¼”, a balanced XLR, and a dedicated headphone jack. 
Bass ZIO is very simple to use. It features an intuitive set of controls that can achieve an exceptionally diverse collection of bass tones. The OUTPUT knob offers +16db of overall boost above unity gain as well as -6db of cut. The BASS and FOCUS offer tremendous flexibility when used in tandem. The BASS knob provides a significant low-end boost at around 100Hz, while the FOCUS knob sweeps the cut-off point of a high-pass filter to tame excessively low frequencies. Together the BASS and FOCUS provide to power to dial in colossal low-end with a powerful punch, without being hampered by floppy bottom. The TREBLE knob boosts or cuts the high frequencies, which can be adjusted to either enhanced articulation without adding harshness, or smooth attack transients for a softer approach. 
ZIO also features a dynamic pair of highly beneficial tone coloring options in the GRIT and SCOOP toggles. The GRIT toggle enables a natural sounding distortion that captures the magic of transformer-style breakup, the tone that occurs when a high-powered bass amp gets pushed to its limit. The amount of gain engaged by the GRIT toggle can be adjusted with a “set-it-and-forget-it” GAIN control located on the side of the pedal. The SCOOP toggle engages a special midrange cut to clean up “muddy” frequencies. The SCOOP’s cut profile is based on the legendary “Pultec Trick” - a time-honored Pultec EQP-1A Equalizer (a studio rack equalizer originally released in the 1950s) setting that studio engineers have regularly dialed up whenever they need added clarity in a bass tone.
The pedal also includes three outputs that can be used individually or simultaneously. The ¼” OUTPUT jack connects to an amplifier or pedalboard. The DIRECT OUT is a balanced XLR output with a ground LIFT switch. The XLR Out brings amplifier character when connected directly to a mixer or audio interface for recording or live sound applications. The HEADPHONE jack features a high dynamic range, low-noise amplifier that is capable of driving low impedance studio headphones.

Put simply: a multi-band processor. In detail, this means that frequency bands are split up here and can be tackled separately. That doesn't sound exciting at first, but the Source Audio Ultrawave has 37 splitting options. You can arrange the bands in different ways and separate pairs of 2 to 10. The result is a huge number of potential sounds with their own character. The signal chain with a classic touch allows compressors and expanders to be packed before or after the distorted signal and modulated afterwards. Here you have the option of using an LFO to control what works and, in addition to flanger and phaser-like sounds, you can also create tremolo sounds, for example. The frequency bands are correspondingly flexible. In addition, you can use the morphing function to create completely wacky sounds. Two parameter constellations can be superimposed here and controlled via LFO or envelope. Typical Source Audio –thinking outside the box. 

A few words about the connections - stereo outputs make sense, but two instrument inputs don't make the whole thing unexciting - being able to manipulate guitar and synth at the same time from the same LFO. I don't think that's available in pedal format. But the routing options don't stop there, the individual source audio devices can be merged together. If you use one input to send commands from the Neuro app, you can let them travel through the entire Source Audio signal chain. As already mentioned: EXP connection, MIDI and USB are included here. Well - if you know the C4 or the Nemesis, you know about the Neuro Editor. In my opinion, the coolest and clearest editor of this kind ever.
Incidentally, calibrating Source Audio with an app or editor is surprisingly easy and a lot of fun. One of the few in-house editors that justifies having a laptop next to the pedalboard. This is perhaps also the biggest problem of the Source Audio brand: despite all efforts to keep it simple, the applications are heavily dependent on the neuro app or the editor. And many musicians still like to avoid both.

The Source Audio Ultrawave Multiband Bass Processor explores the ground-shaking potential of advance overdrive and tremolo effects with the bass. At the Ultrawave’s core is a dynamic and multidimensional approach known as multiband processing. This process splits the frequency spectrum of the signal into multiple, discrete frequency bands especially tuned to the bass, and equips each band with its own array of adjustable parameters. In the case of overdrive, the Ultrawave splits the incoming signal and provides separate drive and output level controls for each individual band. The result is a thick and punchy distortion with loads of unique overtones and dynamic interplay. Split the signal into 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, or 10 frequency bands, and apply any of the band splitting options to an exciting collection of overdrive types, including Tube, Diode, Foldback (a method of distortion often heard in the world of synthesizers), Octave Up, Negative Flip Diode, and more. The Ultrawave Bass also has an incredible companion collection of innovative sound processing blocks that take bass tone into endless miles of unexplored territory. These are found in the Neuro Desktop Editor (free editing software for Mac or Windows) or Neuro Mobile App (free for iOS and Android). All presets created in the Neuro editors can be loaded directly to the pedal, saved to a personal, cloud-based preset library, and published to the Neuro Community to be easily accessed by other Ultrawave owners. The dual channel compressor block includes studio level controls that can be placed before or after the drive circuits. The Multiband Tremolo block provides individual control of each band's tremolo depth, rate, and start time as well as its LFO wave shape. Changing the LFO wave shape and varying the tremolo start times of each frequency band creates fantastically propulsive sounds reminiscent of sequencer or arpeggiator effects. The Morph feature explores the marvelous potential of sound morphing, which allows bassists to smoothly transition from one thunderous tone to another with an external expression pedal, LFO, or envelope follower. The Ultrawave also has advanced stereo features that can send entirely different drive effects to each of the outputs for a wide stereo field, place the effect in two places in a signal chain, or generate mind-spinning, ping-pong tremolo effects. Mit vier Reglern und drei, per Kippschalter anwählbaren Modi, bietet es bereits einiges an Kontrolle über den Sound des Tremolo Effekts. Und hier hat man bei weitem keine digitale Annäherung an Tremolo. Das Vertigo Tremolo klingt absolut wie ein echtes, tiefes und warmes Amp-Trem.
Verbindet man es via der gratis herunterladbaren Source Audio Neuro App mit dem Smartphone, eröffnet sich noch eine ganz neue Welt an Features wie progressiven Tremolo Patterns, zusätzlichen Modulationseffekten, parametrischen EQ Settings und vielem mehr. All diese Einstellungen können natürlich in den drei Kippschalter Positionen oder 128 MIDI Presets gespeichert und wieder abgerufen werden.

From the outside, the One Series Vertigo Tremolo is a very straight forward effects pedal. Four knobs, three presets accessible via toggle switch already give a lot of control over the sound of this tremolo device. And one doesn’t just get a digital approximation of a tremolo – the Vertigo Tremolo sounds absolutely like a real, deep, warm amp-trem.
Connected to a smart phone via the free Neuro App a new world of features like progressive tremolo patterns, additional modulation effects, parametric EQ settings and a lot more opens up to the user. All the settings of course can be saved to one of the three toggle positions or one of the 128 MIDI presets.

The Soundblox Multiwave Bass Distortion Pro inherits the power and clarity of the original Soundblox Multiwave Distortion and adapts it to the unique frequency range of the bass guitar. Bassists can effectively combine complex chords and intervals with distorted tones — multi band processing eliminates the mush and allows each note to ring clear and true. The pedal also features single band processing for more traditional distortion sounds. It’s the perfect pedal for both the studio and stage.

Users have access to 23 modern and distinctive distortions and an additional clean boost/EQ mode. Distortion curve types range from “normal” overdrive for traditional sounds to “foldback” and “octave” for more aggressive synth-like tones. Each distortion type is further customizable via the 7-band equalizer, drive control, and separate mix knobs for clean and distorted signals. This advanced sound control alleviates the tendency for low-end reduction associated with most bass effects.

Six user presets, accessible via three footswitches, assist in the speedy recall of any custom tailored sound, and a traditional expression pedal input facilitates the seamless morphing from one user preset to another.
