One of the best versions of the Ram's Head is the "Violet" version.

The overall tone of the pedal is very balanced from low to high and it has a ton of warm, smooth fuzz that make chords full while retaining string clarity. 
Lead tones are very smooth, punchy and warm. Harmonics jump out with very little effort.

This new version features an interactive mids control that works with the tone control to be able to shape the exact tone you want.
I also modified the gain section that allows a little more gain throughout the pedal while allowing more clarity when playing in lower tunings.
The pedal goes from a mild crunch to a roaring fuzz tone worthy of the mightiest of Doom Metal rigs.

Violet Menace

The "everything" pedal. This pedal can go from an almost clean tone to low-gain overdrive to chewy, fat distortion all with incredible clarity.

The pedal acts like it's adding a gain stage to your amp rather than a pedal up front. Also, it cleans up very well with your guitar's volume and as another gain stage pushing other pedals.
