Fuel Tank Chameleon

The Tremster´s strength lies in the way the effect is modulated. In simple terms, it means that the waveform used to turn the volume up and down (creating the tremolo effect) is a bit special. Instead of a sinus wave or a triangular wave, the Tremster´s waveform is quite soft around the peaks, but otherwise relatively abrupt. This creates a very nonobtrusive effect, that melts in with your playing – even at maximum depth.  It´s like it just breathes in a calm way, instead of sounding like your playing is hyperventilating, so you can use MORE tremolo without losing anything, much like tube tremolos on older amps.

Add to that a pulsating led for visual indication of the speed, true bypass and a mode switch for less/more throb and you have a really nice and simple box that does what it should do, does it in a very musical way and with no hassle. It´s three knobs, all analog stuff, but the sound is what you pay for.

The T-Rex Nitros certainly does capture a very punchy and scooped high gain distortion, but being the most tweakable dirt pedal we make, it will also do the “80´s hair rock” sound to a T. And that´s with the gain knob set high…lower settings are great if you are looking for texas boogie-rock.
By incorporating an active 3-band EQ, the “color” of the distortion is highly adjustable, and the range of the EQ knobs is extremely broad. At moderate cutting/boosting, the Nitros lives in guitar hero land but start turning the knobs to the extremes and all kinds of cool tones will emerge. Anything from “Oops, I forgot to turn off my wah” to “Dude, your amp is facing the wall!!!!” is obtainable – the tones you can get are quite diverse if you really go for it!
For over-the-top scooped metal, classic rockor even alternative styles, the Nitros Hypergain will deliver the goods in spades, but its strength lies in how the basic voicing can be altered to taste – and beyond!

Think of Magnus as a royal family of 5 classic T-Rex pedals—each with its own noble lineage. The Overdrive, Distortion, Delay, Reverb and Boost effects are all based on T-Rex classics used by the world’s best-known guitarists. And they all deliver the legendary vintage tone and uncomplicated operation T-Rex pedals are famous for.
When you’re onstage or in the studio, you can use your Magnus in “Live” mode, switching individual effects on and off and adjusting them while you play. But you can also switch to “Preset” mode, which lets you program up to 10 preset combinations of your different Magnus effects. That way, you can quickly call up whole sonic realms on the fly, without having to deal with individual pedals.
