The Vertex Boost is expertly crafted to be a clean boost, buffer and volume pedal in one. The Boost is designed to leave your tone unchanged, while boosting the level of your signal. The Boost also features an ultra-linear buffer to condition your line with ZERO tonal coloration, even with dozens of pedals in your chain. Additionally, you have total volume control by connecting the Boost with any EXP or Volume Pedal and adjusting your volume as you would with a normal volume pedal. When the Boost is OFF, the EXP will function as a volume pedal (sweeping from silent to unity gain). When the Boost is ON, the EXP or Volume Pedal will control the boosted volume (sweeping from silent to wherever the Boost level knob is set). Since your guitar signal is isolated from the impedance of your chosen EXP or Volume Pedal, your tone remains open and full-range, and most importantly, it feels like you're plugged straight into your amp.

It has been designed alongside the “Real Deal” Dumble Steel String Singer for real D-style tone, warmth, and touch sensitivity. Ultra-Phonix HRM recreates the much sought after Dumble™ HRM overdrive tone that pushed the tweaked Overdrive Special Amplifier into stardom. Amongst the limited amount of ODS amplifiers produced by the legendary amp maker, a handful were armed with EL-34 power amp tubes rather than the 6L6 tubes found in most ODS amps.  This gives the HRM edition of the Ultraphonix a quintessentially British voicing and EQ shift compared to the original version. The “Master” control determines the total output of the pedal. The “Volume” control adjusts how hard the pedal’s preamp is working, giving you more control over the amount of gain coming from the preamp. Turn up the “Accent” control to increase presence and slowly introduce more saturation into your signal. The “Ratio” control allows you to blend your distorted and clean signal, and the “Tone” knob allows you to accentuate different upper-mid frequencies, ranging from 800-1.6k Hz.

Ultraphonix HRM

The Ultraphonix Overdrive is designed to re-create the overdrive produced by a Dumble™ Overdrive Special amplifier. Four Overdrive Specials were used in the voicing and calibration of the Ultraphonix, each amp ranging in origin from the years 1970-1990. Being modeled after four different generations, the Ultraphonix accurately captures the character of the legendary Dumble™ amplifier, regardless of the minute and more apparent differences in the amp from year to year. The Ultraphonix is more than able to provide the D*style overdrive in front of any clean amp platform. Engage the Ultraphonix in tandem with another overdrive pedal or in front of a broken-up amp to really cut through a mix with a huge lead tone or thundering rhythm tone.
