Envelope controlled filter is an effect type that ventures beyond the mainstream yet is equally at home in a wide range of genres and equally effective on guitar, bass, keys, horns and more. Electro-Harmonix is a pioneer in this effect category and has been making envelope controlled filter pedals since the 1970s! The Nano Q-Tron springboards off that deep heritage.

Here’s how it works: The Nano Q-Tron responds to the user’s playing style and dynamics. The volume of the input signal it receives (also called the envelope) controls the cutoff or center frequency of a swept filter. This allows the Nano Q-Tron to create tone-altering effects ranging from subtle to dynamic, auto-wah to ultra-funky. It’s all about how you play and it’s super interactive.

RTG Random Tone Generator

The EHX Frequency Analyzer adds moving harmonies to the note or chords being played. Unlike other Ring Modulators, the Frequency Analyzer has controllable high order filters that reduce cross distortions and enhance the variations. The course and fine control let the user set a single frequency that will then be both added and subtracted from the original note or chord. Blend control lets you mix the new notes with the original. This is a must have pedal, especially for techno cats. Devo had their biggest hit using the Frequency Analyzer.

Das EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz wurde ursprünglich von Josh Scott von JHS Pedals und dem Grafikdesigner Daniel Danger als Hommage an Electro-Harmonix in der Blütezeit des Unternehmens in den 1970er Jahren entworfen. Das EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz ist eine Version des Pedals in Nanogröße, die von den Ingenieuren von Electro-Harmonix zum Leben erweckt wurde und alle Töne und Schwingungen des ursprünglichen Schaltungsdesigns von Josh besitzt.

So entsteht ein völlig neuer und einzigartiger EHX-Fuzz-Sound, den wir noch nie zuvor gehört haben. Um die Geschichte weiter zu erzählen, ist das Pedal mit Vintage EHX-inspirierten Grafiken geschmückt, die von Daniel entworfen wurden.  


Originally designed by Josh Scott of JHS Pedals and graphic designer, Daniel Danger as a homage to Electro-Harmonix in what Josh and Daniel consider the company’s design heyday of the 1970s, the EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz is a nano-sized version of the pedal brought to life by the engineers at Electro-Harmonix that has all of the tones and vibes of the original circuit design by Josh. The tone is inspired by EHX’s fuzz pedigree with a unique analog octave up circuit that has all the vibe of the original design first featured on the JHS Show in 2022. This creates a completely new and unique EHX fuzz sound we’ve never heard before. To further tell the tale, the pedal is adorned with vintage EHX-inspired graphics designed by Daniel.

Housed in EHX’s Nano-sized chassis, the EHX Lizard Queen is a fixed gain fuzz pedal which features Volume, Octave, and Balance knobs. Volume controls the overall output volume level. The Octave control adjusts the level of the octave-up signal from zero to full octave chaos. Perfect for dialing in a crushing rhythm sound or a chimey, clanging lead sound. The Balance knob sets the tone balance between the smoother Shadow setting and the raspy, biting Sun setting. The effect of the Balance control is especially apparent with the octave set high.
