Building on Electro-Harmonix’s looper legacy, the EHX 45000 Multi-Track Looping Recorder takes the looper platform and adds studio recording elements like multiple tracks, stereo panning, and quantization. Each loop has four mono tracks and one stereo mixdown track for creative live loop manipulation.

The 45000 records CD quality audio direct to a removable SDHC card (4 to 32GB). Each card holds up to 100 individual loops accessed with the optional 45000 Foot Controller (sold separately).

Initially, I was looking for an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff. The Big Muff is widely known and accepted into guitarists pedal boards, but one problem associated with the Big Muffs, are the size!

The EHX Knockout is one of the most specific and powerful tonal adjustment systems that you will ever use. The Knockout consists of one Low-Pass filter, one High-Pass filter and a direct dry signal… each with its own knob. When combined they yield a very specific and focused tonal sculpture.

Extreme and very specific adjustments are not only simple to set up but also yield a very rich and defined tone that cannot be obtained from an amplifier or much more complex equalizing systems. The curves of the filters were specifically selected for their musical value. They may be used independently to reinforce a specific area but their real value can be heard when all three are used together.

Knockout

We have reissued the original Version 1 Big Muff and it’s dripping with vintage Electro-Harmonix DNA and tone. Dubbed the Triangle Big Muff because of the layout of its Volume, Sustain and Tone controls, this is the one that started it all. The new EHX Triangle Big Muff is a faithful re-creation of the original circa 1969 circuit now housed in a pedalboard friendly, die-cast chassis.

Electro-Harmonix founder, Mike Matthews, says: “The Big Muff Pi is the pedal we are best known for so I wanted to commemorate EHX’s 50th Anniversary (1968-2018) by re-releasing V1, the very first Big Muff. Original pedals are now selling for hundreds of dollars and this reissue absolutely nails that creamy, violin-like sustain and musical tone at a price a working musician can afford.”

The Triangle Big Muff features the following nods to convenience: an LED to indicate effect status, true bypass switching and the option of being powered by a 9-volt AC adapter.
