The Module 4 is our highly versatile take on a classic vintage compressor – Dan Armstrong’s Orange Squeezer from the ‘70s. Some people may know this, but two interesting facts contribute to the unique tone, player’s feel and iconic character of this type of compressor. Direct cable connection between the electric guitar (pickup) and the Orange Squeezer’s (OS) front-end circuit results in a specific EQ change – a shift in the mid and top end frequencies. This provides a pleasant vintage tonal character, similar to low impedance inputs on some other types of gear. On top of that, the frequency shifting is controlled by the player’s pick attack; you can feel this warm dynamic tone response while playing. In other words, the OS unit acts as a kind of envelope followed EQ. This combination of unique signal EQ ‘treatment’ followed by a precisely biased vintage JFET compressor is the key to this historic tone and feel. This is the reason why guitarists love this unit and why it’s used on so many great records in rock and roll history. The Module 4 has the same spirit in its analog core. But, it’s equipped with several useful, colorful and practical options, all packed into our new enclosure line.

Die RockBoard Pedalboard Serie wurde komplett designt, um ein Pedalboard zu schaffen, das leicht, verwindungssteif und robust ist und vor allem die Nutzung einer weiten Bandbreite an Pedalen, als auch Stromversorgungen und deren Montagelösungen erlaubt. Sein einzigartiges und geniales Design basiert auf nur einem einzigen kaltgewalztem Aluminiumblech und hat keine einzige Schweißnaht. Dadurch bietet es eine absolut flache Oberfläche, die komplett genutzt werden kann. The RockBoard RBO B 4.1 QUAD B pedalboard offers space for approx. 7 to 12 pedals (depending on the size of the pedals) and comes with a perfectly matched gig bag. The robust, water-repellent RokTex surface, the reinforced PVC (polyvinyl chloride) bottom, and the 10 mm padding offer perfect protection while providing easy transportation. The RockBoard pedalboard series has been designed to create a pedalboard that is lightweight, warp resistant, and robust, and above all, allows the use of a wide range of pedals, as well as power supplies and their mounting solutions. Its unique and ingenious design is based on only a single cold-rolled sheet of aluminum without a single weld. As a result, it offers a flat surface that can be fully utilized. U-shaped vertical braces give the board extra stability without making it noticeably heavier, making the board completely torsion-resistant and preventing bending even under maximum load. The innovative slot design works with common mounting solutions or, perfectly, with our RockBoard QuickMount system. In addition, the slots make it easy to route cables under the board surface for a clean setup. Almost all common power supplies can be mounted either under the board surface directly or by using our optionally available RockBoard The Tray or BasePlates. All RockBoard models (except the DUO series) are compatible with our RockBoard All-In-One PatchBays, which are a useful addition to any RockBoard.
