Hinter der Pedal-Schmiede Amptweaker steckt James Brown. Nein, natürlich nicht der legendäre Soulsänger, sondern ein sehr erfahrener Amp-Entwickler, zu dessen Arbeitgeber auch schon Firmen wie Peavey und Kustom zählten. Die Hauptaufgabe von James Brown bei diesen Firmen war überwiegend die Feinabstimmung von Amps, die er mit eigens dafür entwickelten Pedalen vornahm. Damit war der Grundstein für seine eigene Company Amptweaker bereits früh gelegt.

Bass Tight Fuzz

Das TightMetal ST Distortion-Pedal nimmt das beliebte Amptweaker TightMetal mit seinen Over-the-Top-Metal und Hardcore-Crunch-Tones und fügt den beliebten SideTrak -Effekt-Loop hinzu. Dies ist eine Sekundärschleife, die nur funktioniert, wenn TightMetal ST ausgeschaltet ist. Es gibt auch einen zusätzlichen High / Low-Gain-Schalter, um moderne oder Vintage-Metall-Töne zu wählen. Ursprünglich mit Mark Kloeppel, dem Gitarristen der Death Grind-Band Misery Index, entwickelt, enthält er ein eingebautes Noise Gate mit einer "Chomp" -Einstellung für extrem tighte Stopps. The TightMetal ST distortion pedal takes the popular TightMetal pedal with its over-the-top metal and hardcore crunch tones, and adds the popular SideTrak effects loop. This is a secondary loop that only works when the TightMetal ST is OFF. There's also an added High/Low gain switch to select modern or vintage metal tones. Originally designed with Mark Kloeppel, guitarist of the deathgrind band Misery Index it includes a built-in noise gate with a 'Chomp' setting for extremely tight stops. In the same way high gain tube amps are designed by cascading extra tube stages, the TightMetal was created by adding additional stages resulting in thicker and much heavier distortion. The proprietary SideTrak effects loop turns ON when the pedal is OFF: it's like having a built-in A/B box.

Mit immer kleiner werdenden Pedalboards und Pedalen wird die Nachfrage nach Versionen beliebter Pedale mit kleinerem Fußabdruck immer größer. Der TightRock Jr. verfügt über die meisten Funktionen seines großen Bruders und verwendet die gleiche Schaltung, Es wurden jedoch einige Features weggelassen, die viele Gitarristen nicht benötigen, um Größe und Gewicht zu reduzieren. Dieses Pedal kann sogar als Vorverstärker direkt in den Effekt-Return- oder Endstufen-Eingang von Verstärkers verwendet werden. Abgeleitet von der Pro-Serie wurden die Tight-Regler und Fat-Schalter in einen 3-Wege Fat / Normal / Tight-Schalter umkonfiguriert, um das Attack von on dick und heavy zu aggressiv und clunky zu verändern. Ein EQ-Schalter bietet Plexi / Normal / Smooth-Klangeinstellungen, die dazu beitragen, dass der TightRock Jr. Großteil der Bandbreite seines Pro-Series Bruders abdeckt. Das einstellbare Noise Gate, gibt dir die Möglichkeit Noten schnell und hart abzustoppen kann. Und das Tolle an einem eingebauten Noise Gate ist, dass es verschwindet, wenn Sie das Pedal im Bypass ist ... damit dein Clean Tone nicht beeinträchtigt wird!

With ever-shrinking pedalboard real estate, a recent common theme are smaller footprint versions of popular pedals. The TightRock Jr. shares most of the features of its larger counterpart, and uses the same circuitry, while eliminating some features most players don't need in order to shrink down the size and weight. This pedal can even be used as a preamp, by running the output straight into the amp's effects return or power amp input. Derived from the Pro series, the Tight control and Fat switches were re-configured into a 3-position Fat/Normal/Tight switch to dial in the attack of the notes from thick and heavy to aggressive and chunky. An EQ switch similarly provides Plexi/Normal/Smooth tone settings, which helps the pedals cover much of the range of its Pro parents. The manually-adjustable Noise Gate can be cranked to stop notes hard and fast. And the great thing about a built-in noise gate is that it goes away when you turn the pedal off...so your clean tone is unaffected!

Das Bass BluesFuzz Jr Fuzz verwendet einen Germanium-Transistor mit niedrigem Gain und verfügt über einen Mid EQ und eine Dry Low-Blende. Das Bass BluesFuzz JR besitzt die meisten Regeloptionen seines großen Bruders, während einige Features, die viele Bassisten nicht benötigen weggelassen wurden, um Größe und das Gewicht zu reduzieren. Die beliebte automatische Anpassung der Fuzz-Regler Bias sorgt dafür, dass der Sweet Spot immer griffbereit ist und ist besonders gut für saubere Sounds geeignet. Alle Amptweaker Fuzz Pedale haben eine eingebaute 'Gitarren-Style'-Eingangsimpedanz, mit der du alle anderen Pedale ohne die traditionellen Probleme, die mit Vintage Fuzz Pedalen verbunden sind, davor einschleifen kannst. Das heißt, es funktioniert auch perfekt mit aktiven Bässen und Pickups.

All Amptweaker fuzz pedals have a built-in 'guitar-style impedance, which allows you to put any other pedals in front without the traditional issues associated with vintage fuzz pedals. That means it works fine with low impedance active basses and pickups too.

Bass BluesFuzz Jr

The DepthFinder is an active boost-only EQ pedal that simulates the tube amp Resonance and Presence controls, but without having to be done in the power amp. This means you can use it with an amp that doesn’t have Resonance and Presence, by patching it in the effects loop. It also works great for building a pedalboard direct signal, since that low damping factor is a key ingredient to the overall tone. It can easily make a solid state amp sound and feel more like a tube amp, and can actually widen the bandwidth since it boosts at very low and very high frequencies.
