The Locust Star is an homage to the classic LM308 Rat distortion, combining an array of upgrades that make this one highly versatile dirt pedal. It is a small batch pedal and will be limited in production.

The tone control of a distortion pedal can drastically change the character. A simple passive filter can only provide one dimension of tonal range. The Locust Star instead uses an active shelving EQ, creating far more possible tonal profiles. The Bass control provides more than enough low end for bass players--no clean blend is needed. The Treble control ranges from bright and raspy all the way to a dark and warm tone. To get a mid-forward tone, turn both EQ knobs down and boost the volume. To get a mid-scooped tone, turn both EQ knobs up and lower the volume. The EQ is flat with both knobs at noon.

Locust Star

The Subsonic Analog Octaver is a recreation of the classic OC-2. Starting with the original circuit and components, the Subsonic improves upon the OC-2 with the removal of the active bypass circuitry. The output passive mixer has been replaced with an active mixer, allowing for signals to go well above unity gain. And finally, the Subsonic allows for higher input voltages (up to 18V) for even more headroom for hotter signals. The Subsonic is faithful to the original tone of the OC-2 while adding modern upgrades that make it even more useful.

The Phase Locked Loop (PLL) is a fuzz/synth pedal with parallel Multiplier and Divider harmonies. Create thick fuzz tones with complimentary harmonies, or let the PLL go wild with crazy glissandos and dive bombs. This all analog pedal is amazingly fun and probably even useful.

Phase Locked Loop

The Low Pass Filter pedal can be used for taming harsh high end such as fret buzz, string noise, and artifacts from other effects such as distortion pedals. It is also useful for simulating the high frequency roll-off of speaker cabinets. At it's most extreme setting, the Low Pass Filter can turn a bass guitar signal into a low end dub tone.
The low pass filter is a 12 dB per octave high frequency filter. The knob controls the cutoff frequency and ranges continuously from 15 kHz to 220 Hz.
