Blue Ranger

OVERDRIVE

Description

While Carl Martin was gazing at Stevie Ray Vaughan's statue in Austin, he decided to add the Texas Style Overdrive to the vintage line-up. Equally suitable for single coils or humbuckers and equipped with a true bypass switch, the Blue Ranger incorporates a dual-clip circuit to prevent the sound from becoming muffled and to produce clearly accentuated highs at every level. The three simple controls (Level for overall volume, Gain for the amount of overdrive, Tone for fine-tuning the sound) set the stage for open, Hendrix-like chords, overdriven SRV-like leads and much more. With the gain control set to the stop, the Blue Ranger is already close to fuzz.
