The Carl Martin PlexiTone, is as the name might indicate an unusual high gain three step rocket of an overdrive.
The PlexiTone offers two step overdrive, the crunch channel and the high gain channel, on top of that it gives you an up to 20dB clean boost channel.
The crunch channel goes from subtle overdrive to hard rock gain stage, the high gain channel goes from rock gain stages to absolutely meltdown, with loads of gain and low end, and all in a tone that brings the memory back to the early 80’s high gain guitar hero’s.

Der neue Carl Martin Bass Drive macht jetzt genau das.... und erzeugt den berühmten John Entwhistle (The Who) Ton ... groß, rund und fett mit genau der richtigen Menge an Sustain, um deinen Bass richtig im Mix zu platzieren und ihn in Live- und Aufnahmesituationen „knallen“ zu lassen.  Der Drive-Regler fügt sich gleichmäßig in die Bass-Sounds ein, anstatt wie bei vielen anderen Reglern im Vordergrund zu stehen, und sorgt auf ganz natürliche Weise für ein volles Bottom-End. Even though the BassDrive has been listed in the catalogue for years, Carl postponed the release of this pedal until we were able to tweak the EQ and crunch to where it could add a warm ‘tube’ sound to modern digital bass amps and actually improve their performance. The new Carl Martin Bass Drive now does exactly that….creating that famous John Entwhistle (The Who) tone … big, round and phat with just the right amount of sustain to place your bass properly in the mix and allow it to ‘pop’ in live and recording situations.  The Drive control blends evenly with your bass tones, rather than sitting on top like so many others, and very naturally maintains a full bottom-end.  Gain, Bass-Mid-Treble, Level Controls look after your sound, and the regulated and switch-able Power Supply (115-240V) provides the Bass Drive with tons of headroom….Carl, is smiling again!

Nun, braucht die Welt wirklich ein weiteres Chorus-Pedal? Hmmm gutes Argument, oder? Braucht es das wirklich? Nun, ja, wenn es etwas zu bieten hat. Was also bringt der neue Carl Martin Atlantic Chorus auf den Tisch, abgesehen von der hervorragenden Optik mit seinem neuen zweifarbigen Druckgussgehäuse in Ocean Blue eloxiertem Finish, dem kleinen, pedalboardfreundlichen Fußabdruck, der Anschlussbuchse auf der Oberseite und dem erstklassigen Sound (ohne Grund)? Nun, es gibt ein paar Tricks; höchst ungewöhnlich für ein Chorus-Pedal, hat der Atlantic Chorus einen Pegelregler, der das Signal tatsächlich ein wenig anheben kann, um genau im Mix zu sitzen. Aber der eigentliche Clou ist der RATE-Regler, der das Vibrato für extreme Chorus-Modulationen hinzufügt.

Well, does the world really need another Chorus pedal? Hmmm good argument, does it? Does it really? Well yeah, if it has something to bring to the table. So what does the new Carl Martin Atlantic Chorus bring to the table apart from the stellar looks with its new two-toned die-cast enclosure in Ocean Blue anodized finish, small pedal board friendly footprint, connector jack on the top, and top-notch sound (off cause)? Well, there are a few tricks; highly unusual for a chorus pedal, the Atlantic Chorus has a level control, which actually can boost the signal quite a bit to sit right in the mix. But the real game changer is in the RATE control knob which blends in vibrato for some more extreme in-depth chorus modulations.

Atlantic Chorus

Multiple effects, True-Bypass Switching and large stages (with long cable runs) are some of your tone’s greatest enemies….yes pedal-boards with all their advantages can become tone-thiefs!  Long cable runs and multiple pedals using True-Bypass switching, tend to ‘muddy’ our sound and reduce the higher frequencies that help define our sound.  Even wah pedals on their own can also be suspected of stealing certain frequencies from your tone.  By plugging your guitar into Buff de Luxe (1) and out to your pedals, then from your pedals back into Buff Deluxe (2) and out to your amp, you can protect your tone.  The results are stunning with your guitar coming back to life as if there was nothing between it and the amp.  There is also a Mute switch which directs your signal to the Tuner Out….this allows us to remove even the tuner from the signal chain and mute the guitar for silent tuning.
