The Scream Honey/SH-1N is especially for the Marshall enthusiasts who have never found a satisfied overdrive that can perfectly boost their Marshall amps ! As a deeply enthusiast of amp tone, while studying the N5 drive, Sinvertek company has never stopped researching and modifing various classic vintage amps in history. The most necessary part in this process is developing overdrive pedal. Overdrive effect has been used as the most powerful support to the amp since they were invented. The most basic way to use the overdrive effect is to combine its own frequency spectrum with the frequency spectrum of the amps to produce a new tone. In the history of electric guitars, this methord has been used by most guitarists. Since the establishment of Sinvertek, we have been obsessed with the combination of various tones of overdrive and the amp. At the same time, we have been committed to designing an overdrive effect that best suits for our own aesthetics. Based on ten years of research, we proudly announced that our first high-end overdrive pedal was born. That is SCREAM HONEY/SH-1N. We designed SH-1N with two basic goals. Firstly, SH-1N must not attenuate any useful frequency of amp tone. Each legendary amp in history is perfect from the perspective of music at the time, SH-1N should retain these original frequencies. So, SH-1N will not making the tone clear at the cost of reducing the low frequency of amp, especially under the condition of high volume, this avoids the tone becoming extremely sharp. Moreover, SH-1N features the right low frequency settings, this is very important, it prevents the bell liked attack in the original crunch from being completely swallowed up by the stiff low frequency of the overdrive itself. Secondly, on the premise of maintaining the original characteristics of the amp tone, the overdrive pedal should try to make the tone more transparent and bold, perfect the frequency response, and get a wider & deeper low frequency, bright and transparent high frequency, also greatly improve the attack. In order to improve the variety of the overdrive tone, SH-1N is equipped with two fine-tuned tone switches. The one on the right is BOLD switch, and the other one on the left is HOLLOW switch. When both switches are in the down position (turned off), it is a traditional and classic overdrive tone. When turning on the BOLD switch, the low frequency and high frequency was boosted, as well as gain. Sometimes, you may feel the tone a little harsh when playing humbucker guitars, just turning on the HOLLOW switch to attenuate some mid and high frequency, the tone will be more transparent. The SH-1N used hand tested and selected vintage components which we have collected for many years , all these vintage components have been discontinued for several decades, and they will never be found again.
