So, why is Tape Echo different than any other echo? Well, hypothetical reader, we're glad you asked. Tape Echo was actually the first type of delay in the audio world. Originally done on tape in a variety of experimental methods, a second copy of the signal is put to tape after pausing for a certain amount of time after the original is put down. That process is copied as many times as you want, at whatever interval you want, to get the effect you want. Just like our STE-10 pedal design displays, we take the idea of reel-to-reel style tape echo and shove it into a mini pedal with easy to use controls. Not only do you have a standard Level control, you also have a Time Adjustment (how long between copies of the signal), a Regen Adjustment (how many times do you want the copy to play), and even a toggle that lets you choose from 3 combo settings including an option to Reverse your sample.
