Jimis originale Oktavteiler sehen nicht nach viel aus, aber diese magischen Kisten erzeugten die unvergesslichen, verwaschenen Oktavtöne, die man auf dem legendären „Band of Gypsys: Live at Fillmore East“ zu hören sind.

Kürzlich pilgerte ein Team von Dunlop-Ingenieuren nach Seattle, um einen originalen Octavio zu untersuchen und zu dokumentieren - den heiligen Gral des Oktavtons. Sie haben mit liebevoller Sorgfalt gemessen und gescannt. Das Ergebnis? Das Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octavio ist ein exakter Klon des erstaunlichen „octave up“-Pedals, mit dem Jimi Rockgeschichte geschrieben hat. Es ist alles da: jeder Knopf und jede Buchse, ein DPDT Ein/Aus-Schalter und genau das gleiche Schaltungslayout, das originalgetreu vom „Breadboard“ kopiert wurde, Bedienelemente auf der Vorderseite, mit denen du genau die richtige Menge an Fuzz einstellen und den Gesamtpegel anpassen kannst. A true Rock N’ Roll artifact—Hendrix’s chipped, off-white, “cheese wedge” pedal with hand stenciled lettering—is enshrined at the Experience Music Project, Seattle’s hallowed rock and roll museum.

Jimi’s original octave dividers don’t look like much, but these magic boxes produced the unforgettable fuzzed-out octave tones heard on the legendary Band of Gypsys: Live at Fillmore East performance.

Recently a team of Dunlop engineers made a pilgrimage to Seattle to examine and document an original Octavio—the holy grail of octave tone. They measured and scoped with loving care. The result? The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octavio is an exact clone of the amazing “octave up” pedal that Jimi used to make rock history. It’s all here: every knob and jack, a DPDT on/off switch, and the exact same circuit layout faithfully copied from the original “breadboard,” front-panel controls which let you dial in just the right amount of fuzz and adjust overall level. The Echoplex EP-3 tape echo unit is famous for its deliciously warm, organic modulation and sweet musical voice—a key component to some of the most iconic guitar tones from the '70s onward. The original EP-3 units, however, are expensive, temperamental, and larger than a VCR.

That's where the EP103 Echoplex Delay comes in. It's the size of a Phase 90, and it delivers the EP-3's legendary tones with a simple control interface and a hi-fi all-analog dry path. The Delay control sets the time between repeats—from 65ms to 750ms—the Sustain control sets the number of repeats, and the Volume control sets the output level of your repeats.

Das Dunlop CBJ95 Cry Baby Junior Wah wurde speziell für den Einsatz auf Pedalboards entwickelt. Die Anschlüsse für Input, Output und die Stromversorgen befinden sich auf der Stirnseite des Pedals und ermöglichen so eine engere Konfiguration der Pedale und schaffen Platz an den Seiten, der normalerweise von den Kabeln eingenommen wird. Das kompakte Gehäuse mit ca. 20 cm Länge passt perfekt auf eine Vielzahl von Boards und ermöglicht eine schöne, saubere Anordnung der Kabel. Das Cry Baby Junior Wah überzeugt neben dem kompakten Design vor allem durch die vielfältigen Sounds. An der Seite des Pedals befindet sich ein Schalter, mit dem sich drei unterschiedliche Voicings und Sweep-Bereiche auswählen lassen: Das H-Setting bietet den aggressiven, modernen Klang des GCB95, das M-Setting liefert den satten Midrange-Growl alter Vintage Wahs und das L-Setting überzeugt mit einem dunklen und satten Sound.

The Dunlop CBJ95 Cry Baby Junior Wah is purpose-built for pedalboards. This wah has been carefully crafted for maximum layout efficiency on pedalboards and the front-mounted input, output, and power jacks allow for a tighter configuration of pedals, freeing up space on the sides that would normally be taken up by cable ends. The Cry Baby Junior Wah's 8" housing length lines up perfectly with the routing spaces on some boards for a nice, clean arrangement of cords. The Cry Baby Junior Wah allows for just as much versatility in tone as it does for the pedalboard layout. On the side of the pedal is a convenient and accessible three-position switch that allows musicians to choose one of Dunlop's three most popular Cry Baby Wah voices, covering the full frequency spectrum. The H setting provides the aggressive modern sound of the GCB95, M provides the midrange growl of vintage wah pedals, and L provides a sound that's dark and rich.
