ENVELOPE FILTER
FILTER

Description

A combination Attack/Release envelope generator and resonant filter. The envelope is triggered by tapping the left footswitch, rather than depending on some "pick dynamic" detecting circuit which ALMOST NEVER WORKS. (and you can't put it in the middle of a note's decay, or modulate a drone with it) Depressing the switch engages the attack stage of the envelope. Holding your foot as long as you like is the decay stage (That's like a bonus, it's not even in the name!) sustaining the envelope at whatever DEPTH you have dialed in on the knob of the same name. Releasing the switch will engage the Release stage of the envelope, and your filter will ramp back down to it's knob-set-position. The filter section has a familiar array of controls. Cutoff, resonance, and drive. You can use the drive knob to boost a quiet signal, tame a loud one, and often add grit to your input. The filter can also be coaxed into a very rude self oscillation. Of course.
