Mit dem Schalter auf der linken Seite sind die Bedienelemente des Time Shadow vollständig das Werk des EarthQuaker Devices-Genies Jamie Stillman. Legt man den Schalter nach rechts, taucht man in den Kopf des Verrückten Oliver Ackermann von Death By Audio ein, der sich gerade noch an die Realität klammert. Legen Sie den Schalter in die Mitte und Sie betreten ein völlig neues Reich der Pitch Warping Delays, die durch eine telepathische Gedankenverschmelzung mit einem fünfdimensionalen Traumwesen zu Ihnen gelangen.
Alle drei Klänge unterscheiden sich stark voneinander und sind doch so perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt, dass sie sich auf ideale Weise ergänzen und für jeden Musikstil und jedes Genre geeignet sind. Die EarthQuaker Devices-Seite verwandelt alles, was Sie spielen, in den Sound einer Jazz-Space-Bazooka! Es ist ein pitch-morphender Fuzz-Delay-Filter mit so viel Attitüde, dass man tatsächlich eingeschüchtert ist. Es nimmt das Eingangssignal, bläst es mit der Kraft digitaler Verzerrung auf, mischt es mit einer polyphonen Suboktave, speist es in ein Delay ein und spuckt es dann in einem hoch resonanten, hüllkurvengesteuerten Tiefpassfilter aus. Die Death By Audio-Seite ist ein Multi-Delay-Filter-Remorphinator, der von eisigem Schimmern bis zu kosmischen Weltraumhöhlen voller bouncender Repeats reicht. Die mittlere Position ist ein Energiestrahl, der deine irdischen Transmissionen wiederholend dem Himmel näher bringt und gleichzeitig tief in die Höllen eintaucht.
Zusätzlich zu all diesem Wahnsinn bieten wir dir auch eine vom Benutzer zuweisbare Expression-Buchse und 6 Preset-Slots zum Speichern und Abrufen deiner Lieblingseinstellungen!

The latest pedal from EarthQuaker Device was created in collaboration with Death By Audio. This new pedal is a joint collaboration that brings their sonic soundscape trips to your melted mind.
With the switch to the left Time Shadow's controls are completely the brainchild of EarthQuaker Devices resident genius Jamie Stillman. Flip the switch to the right, and you enter the head of the madman Oliver Ackermann from Death By Audio barely clutching to reality. Place the switch in the middle and enter a whole new realm of pitch warping delays brought to you by a telepathic mind-meld with a 5th dimensional dream being.
All three sounds are wildly different from each other and yet share a perfectly designed harmony to be completely complementary and suitable for every style and genre of music. The EarthQuaker Devices side transforms whatever you play into the sound of a jazz space bazooka! It's a pitch morphed fuzz delay filter with so much attitude that you are actually intimidated. It takes the input signal, blows it out with power of digital distortion, blends it with a polyphonic sub octave, feeds it into a delay, then spits it out into a highly resonant envelope controlled lowpass filter. The Death By Audio side is a multi-delay filter remorphinator that goes from icy shimmers to cosmic space caves of bouncing repeats. The middle position is an energy beam that brings your earthly transmissions repetitively closer to the heavens while simultaneously diving deep into the hells.

Der Data Corrupter ist ein “wilder, aber reproduzierbarer” drei-stimmiger, modulierter, monophoner harmonizierender PLL (Phasenregelschleifen), der dein Eingangssignal nimmt und es „brutal in einen schmetternden Square Wave Fuzz Tone verstärkt, diesen multipliziert, herunterbricht und moduliert“ um dir harmonisch komplexe, expressive anschlags-dynamische Analog-Synth Tones, mit bis zu drei Oktaven unter (oder über) dem Originalsignal plus zusätzlichen Harmonien liefert. Um die verkorkste Maschine, die im Mainframe des Data Corrupters schlummert zu erwecken, stelle den Subharmonic Root Schalter auf Oscillator und versuche dich nicht von der sonaren Malware, die du gerade auf deinem Setup installiert hast abzuwenden. Der Data Corrupter nimmt dein Signal in die Mangel und verdreht es in die Summe und die Differenz aus Master Oscillator und Subharmonic mit Frequenzmodulation auf den oberen und unteren Oktaven.

The Data Corrupter is a “wild, yet repeatable” three-voice Modulated Monophonic Harmonizing PLL (phase-locked loop)  that takes your input signal and “brutally amplifies it into a crushing square wave fuzz tone that is then multiplied, divided, and modulated” to create a harmonically complex, expressive, and touch-responsive analog synth tone up to three octaves below (or above) the original, plus additional harmonies. To unleash the cracked machine lurking within the Data Corrupter mainframe, set the Subharmonic Root switch to Oscillator and try not to look away as the sonic malware you just installed mangles your input signal into the sum and difference of both the Master Oscillator and Subharmonic with the Frequency Modulator applied to the upper and lower octaves.

Der Buffer/Preamp stellt nicht nur den Höhenverlust wieder her, sondern hat auch einen kleinen Trick in petto, der den Bässen einen subtilen, aber dennoch kraftvollen Kick verleiht und für zusätzliche Dimensionen sorgt. 
Obwohl es üblich ist, einen Buffer am Anfang der Signalkette hinzuzufügen, finden wir, dass er für optimale Ergebnisse am besten am Ende eingesetzt werden sollte. A buffer is an important tool to combat tone loss with long cable runs or in signal chains running lots of true bypass pedals. With its high 1 Mohm input impedance and low 100 ohm output impedance, the EarthQuaker Devices Buffer/Preamp will restore your tonal integrity and give you back the clear and dynamic signal you deserve and your amp craves. Want more? Not only will it restore high end loss, this device has a little trick up its sleeve that will also give your low end a subtle, yet powerful, little kick for some added dimension. 
While it is commonplace to add a buffer at the beginning of the signal chain, we find this to best at the end for optimum results. That said, it’ll work great anywhere you decide to place it. For best results, make sure the EarthQuaker Devices Buffer/Preamp is placed AFTER any fuzz pedals that typically like to see the guitar at their input.
