Like most overdrive pedals, the FX Teacher Blues Believer has the three classic settings we all know and love. Out controls the output level, Gain controls the saturation level and Tone controls the brightness of your tone. The original circuit had a weird interdependence between the Gain and brightness that we decided to keep, creating a brighter sound as your turn up the gain. That is precisely why we added the Voice switch, in order to tame the higher frequencies. The other switch, called Disto, adds a third saturation stage to the classic two-stage circuit in order to reach unprecedented levels of gain that take it all the way to a true distorsion. And in case that’s not enough for you, two trimpots inside the pedal will push the gain even further. Proceed with caution though, your legato licks might become a little too easy to play.
