Description

What’s Flancher ? Flancher is a line of 4 different stereo, analog, voltage controlled pedals. They use BBD (bucket brigade device) chips running internally at 15V and are comparable to late 70’s chorus delay studio rack units such as Roland SBF-325 or Boss DM-100. The FL5B and FL5D both use a 4096 stage BBD, but apply it in different ways. The FL5D has a more lo-fi character overall: the tone is more filtered, there are more low-end frequencies, and the feedback is more prone to distortion. The FL5D starts clipping with a 1V peak-to-peak signal, while the FL5B begins clipping at 2V peak-to-peak. The FL5B has a range from 12ms to 470ms, with a maximum clean time of 280ms. The FL5D has a range from 16ms to 630ms, with a maximum clean time of 350ms.
