Combining two (almost) identical distortion channels that run in parallel with extensive filtering options, Steak from Glou-Glou is a distortion powerhouse. It can be a source of everything from slight fuzz with a bit of filtering to growling and aggressive octave distortion and everything in between. The parallel channels first are routed to a fuzz circuit that can add everything from soft textures to harsh squared-up fuzz. Then the audio is split and passed into the two parallel distortions. These have their own predistortion band pass filter, distortion circuit, and post-distortion low pass filter. Each filter has its own cutoff frequency, resonance, and modulation depth control. Both distortion sections feature a range of distortion settings from tube-like soft clipping to squared and harsh octave up or down distortion. Distortion 2 has a special ring modulation setting where the two circuits intermodulate each other.
