MC-3 Micro Chorus

CHORUS

Description

Chorusing effects are produced by slightly delaying an input signal and reintroducing it against the original while simultaneously varying the pitch by a small amount. This combination of signals gives the effect of two instruments playing at once - a chorus of instruments, so to speak. Unfortunately, many chorus pedals have the tendency to cut low end, leaving a thin, clinical tone that harkens back to the days of 1980's overproduced excess. The MC-3 Micro Chorus was designed to eliminate these problems and provide a rich, thick chorusing that picks up where other pedals leave off. The MC-3's circuit is based around the Panasonic MN3207 analog IC (now out of production) that is found in many more expensive units. Rather than thinning your sound, the MC-3 offers an increased low-end frequency response, making it suitable for use with any instrument including Bass, Guitar and Keyboards. In addition, the MC-3 offers a slight level boost when engaged that lets you jump out in the mix and be heard. The MC-3's Rate and Depth controls were custom tuned to provide radical amounts of control. Manipulating them will provide a wide variety of tones, from subtle detuning to Magnatone-like vibrato and full-throttle rotating speaker effects (a lot easier than carrying a Leslie around, we guarantee). If you're looking for more from a chorus, the MC-3 offers twice the tone of the competition!
