While many MOOER multi-effects pedals can be used as an audio interface, MOOER has finally announced their new line-up of audio interfaces with the Steep I and II.

Both models offer a multi-platform audio interface with support for high-resolution audio up to 24bit/192 khz and combination microphone, line-in, and high-impedance value instrument support. Dual-channel outputs are also included as well as one USB-C port for power and one USB-C port for data transfer, that can also be used for power when connected to a PC. Both the Steep I and II include dual LED input level indicators, support for 48v phantom power, a stereo direct monitor button, and knobs to control main output volume, mix, and input gain levels.

The Steep II adds several features including dual combined ¼” and XLR input jacks (Steep I includes a single ¼” and one combined ¼” and XLR input jacks) as well as MIDI IN/OUT ports for connecting to a MIDI keyboard, synthesizer, and other supported devices. Auf den ersten Blick werden Gitarristen von den 126 internen Gitarreneffekten und Sound-Presets beeindruckt sein, die über die MOOER-Cloud-Plattform editiert, geteilt und heruntergeladen werden können und so eine unbegrenzte klangliche Flexibilität ermöglichen. Diese Fähigkeiten kommen jedoch besonders gut zur Geltung, wenn sie mit den Aufnahmefunktionen des Pedals kombiniert werden.
Dazu gehört ein Looper-Modul, das bis zu 80 Sekunden Looping ermöglicht und gleichzeitig Funktionen für Echtzeit-Wiedergabe, Loop-Löschung und Overdubbing bietet. Loops und Arrangements können über ein USB/OTG-Kabel auch direkt auf einem Mobiltelefon oder Tablet aufgenommen werden.
In Kombination mit den 40 synchronisierbaren Drummachines, den 10 Metronomen und dem Stimmgerät des Pedals ermöglichen diese Loop- und Aufnahmefunktionen Gitarristen die Erstellung kompletter musikalischer Arrangements innerhalb eines einzigen, einheitlichen Pedalboards, ohne dass eine Studioausrüstung erforderlich ist. Alle Funktionen können mit vier einfachen Fußschaltern gesteuert werden, was für ein effektives und minimalistisches Benutzererlebnis sorgt.

Initially, guitarists will be impressed by its 126 internal guitar effects and tone presets, which are editable, sharable, and downloadable through the MOOER Cloud platform, fostering unlimited tonal flexibility. However, these capabilities shine particularly brightly when combined with the pedal's recording features.
This includes a looper module, which facilitates up to 80 seconds of looping, whilst also providing functionality for real-time playback, loop deletion, and overdubbing. Loops and arrangements can also be recorded directly onto a mobile phone or tablet through a USB/OTG cable.
When combined with the pedal's 40 synchronizable drum machines, 10 metronomes, and tuner, these looping and recording capabilities empower guitarists to craft complete musical arrangements within a single unified pedalboard, without the need for studio equipment. All features can be controlled by four simple footswitches, making for a powerfully minimalist user experience.
