You can use the Ruby Red Booster as a treble booster, clean booster, or as an overdrive unit, or any combination of the above. Plus, it can be used with or without a buffer. The Treble Booster is a booster tuned to the right treble frequency with a carefully designed bandwidth and an optimized bass cut slope. The booster circuit is designed to overdrive your amp's inputs from nice sparkle to heavy overdrive with a massive 40dB boost. The booster is calibrated to produce musical distortion on its own at higher boost settings. You can control the total level of the two boosters with the Master Volume control, and also use the Master Volume to dial in distortion from the unit.
