It all started with the development of a circuit designed to emulate the sound of the great Steve Stevens and other guitarists who use Marshall amps to create the typical rock sound. After some modifications, we were able to develop the first Rebel Atomic Distortion. During this process we discovered an intriguing possibility that led us to create a very versatile distortion capable of producing sounds from classic to modern. It is even possible to create modern sounds with very deep tunings for styles such as djent while maintaining a quality and clarity in the final sound that few other pedals can offer. However, we felt that we needed to bring out a pedal that captured the essence of the original sound that inspired us to create these models. So we went back to work with the original prototypes and after a lot of tweaking, the Rebel Atomic Distortion Origin was born.
