The LP-2™ has been designed to be used with any guitar or bass effects pedal or device that needs a boost or cut when activated. The external pedal connected to the SEND/RETURN must be permanently "ON" as it will be bypassed by the Footswitch in the LP-2™(LED off). For example, it can be used to compliment the early Electro Harmonix Electric Mistress™ pedal, which has an inherent loss of output when in Flange mode. The LP-2™ INPUT features our world class unit gain buffer and line driver type LD-1™. The SEND is isolated and ground lifted. The RETURN features our well established variable gain stage with gain variation from -16dB to 0dB (unity) to +16dB. The footswitch alternates between bypass (LED off) and loop (LED on) and in active mode the RETURN signal from the external effects pedal is sent to the OUTPUT with any boostor cut that has been added by the RETURN GAIN control. No gain boost is applied to the SEND feed, which is at guitar level and so should not be used for signal matching to Line Level equipment such as rack effects etc.
