Portable 3 watt amplifier that was introduced in 1973. It is powered by six AA batteries or a 9v adapter. The Pignose 7-100 has a "pre-amp out" jack on the back, which makes it very suitable as a boost, overdrive or fuzz, depending on where you set the "nose knob". If an angled jack is connected to the preamp out and the 9v input, the pignose can be used lying on its back, even while secured to a pedal board. A common simple mod is the addition of a switch that disconnects the internal 6" speaker, while leaving the output jack active. The brown cabinet itself is 155(W) x 210(H) x 100(D) mm, however the metal parts (hinges, lock and handle) make it slightly bigger.
