The Andromeda lets you choose between digital and analog-simulated versions of Normal, Ping Pong, Reverse and Reverse Pong delay types, while Dynamic Expression can be applied to the Mix, Modulation or Saturation parameters so you can vary the intensity of these effects in real-time simply by changing your picking strength.

FOOZ ist ein Fuzz- und Filter-Effekt, inspiriert von unserer Liebe zu klassischen analogen Synthesizern. Unser Ziel war es, ein Pedal zu entwerfen, das aus verschiedenen Blöcken besteht, die auf unterschiedliche Weise miteinander kombiniert werden können, um eine breite Palette an möglichen Sounds und Texturen zu erzeugen, ähnlich wie die Elemente eines Synthesizers (Oszillator, Filter, LFO, Hüllkurve). FOOZ is a Fuzz and Filter effect inspired by our love of classic analog synthesizers. The goal of this design was a pedal comprised of distinct blocks that can be combined together in a variety of ways to create a vast array of possible tones and textures, much like the elements of a synthesizer - (oscillator, filter, LFO, envelope). To that end, we’ve included a square-wave fuzz to act as the ‘oscillator’, a Filter section inspired by classic Low Pass Filters, and an LFO and envelope follower with which to modulate the effect.

You can use FOOZ as a straightforward fuzz, add a Low Pass or Band Pass Filter, and modulate the Filter (and other parameters) with either the Envelope or LFO. Additionally, the Envelope can be used to modulate the LFO Rate and Depth, or an external expression pedal can be used to control most of the surface functions.

Die üppigen, sauberen Passagen, akzentuiert durch kristalline Reverb- und Delay-Töne, die die geballte Aggression von Periphery aufbrechen lassen, sind Teil der Formel, die die Band so besonders macht. Das bedeutet, dass die Messlatte hoch angesetzt war, als wir ein Pedal kreierten, das Marks Erwartungen entsprach. Das Dark Sun wurde basierend auf Marks Lieblingssounds des Andromeda Dynamic Delay und des Silver Lake Dynamic Reverb entwickelt. Dark Sun kombiniert einen warmen und cleanen digitalen Verzögerungsalgorithmus mit einem üppigen Hall-Reverb und der Möglichkeit, die beiden in nahezu jeder gewünschten Konfiguration zu routen. Außerdem kannst du den EQ des Effekts gestalten, Sättigung oder chorale Modulation hinzufügen oder das Dynamic Expression Feature verwenden, um den Mix des Effekts mit deiner Anschlagsdynamik zu steuern. Mark wollte die Möglichkeit, die Reihenfolge der Effekte im laufenden Betrieb zu ändern und sie entweder dem linken oder dem rechten Kanal zuzuordnen. As part of the three-guitar assault that makes up Periphery, Mark Holcomb might be best known for bombastic riffs and liquid leads, but he’s no stranger to the atmospheric and ambient side of guitar. The lush clean passages, accented by crystalline reverb and chiming delay tones that break up Periphery’s aggression are part of the formula that makes the band so special – meaning the bar was set high when we set out to create a pedal that could meet Mark’s expectations. Dark Sun was crafted based on Mark’s favorite sounds from the Andromeda Dynamic Delay and the Silver Lake Dynamic Reverb. Dark Sun combines a warm and clean digital delay algorithm with a lush Hall reverb, and the ability to route the two in just about any configuration you could want. And, you can shape the EQ of the effect, add saturation, or lush choral modulation, or use Dynamic Expression to control the mix of the effect with your playing. Mark wanted the ability to change the order of the effects on the fly and assign them to either the left or right channel – so we designed the routing control; a 4-position switch that can create dramatically different sounds depending on how it’s set. Running delay first means new reverberations are created with each repeat – while putting reverb first will create a less natural and more dramatic repeat of the reverb trail. Setting Delay and Reverb to the left and right channels allows you to use Dark Sun’s two effects in stereo or as two separate pedals in one.
