The Vahlbruch ‘Phaser’ is very flexible because you have additional controls. You can also use it to create ‘Univibe’- and ‘Leslie’-like sounds and the famous 4-stage phasing sounds. The combination of ‘Speed’ and ‘Depth’ creates sounds that are not possible with vintage pedals. The volume of the phaser pedal can be adjusted via the mix knob.This means you can also use the pedal as an amplifier or buffer, with or without the phaser effect.
