Die kurze Geschichte des GCP / eine Notiz von William:

Die Herstellung des Geiger Counter Pro war eine Liebesmüh und hatte viele Höhen und Tiefen. Es erforderte eine Menge Unterbrechungen und Anläufe, um ihn fertigzustellen, und dann verursachten die Pandemie und der Mangel an Teilen noch viel mehr Ärger. Jahrelang haben wir uns über jedes Detail den Kopf zerbrochen, damit es großartig aussieht und klingt. Im Jahr 2024, in dem ich diese Zeilen schreibe, befindet es sich in der Revision 2.14 (12 dieser Revisionen waren Prototypen oder Produktionsversuche). 
Aber das ist es so sehr wert. Mit diesem Pedal fühle ich mich wie ein Vizekönig, der die absolute Kontrolle über die Brutalität hat, die er in jedem Moment mit seiner Gitarre entfesseln kann.  Auch Milde und Subtilität lassen sich zurückdrängen, um Ihre Probanden zu verzaubern. Sie sehen fantastisch aus und klingen total vulgär, und ich bin wirklich froh, sie wieder mit der Welt zu teilen.

Making the Geiger Counter Pro has been a labor of love, and has had a lot of ups and downs. It took a lot of stopping and starting to get it done and then the pandemic and parts shortage caused lots more trouble. Years were spent agonizing over every detail to make it look and sound great. As of this writing in 2024, it's at revision 2.14 (like 12 of those revisions were prototyped or production). 
But it's so worth it. This pedal makes me feel like a viceroy, in absolute control of the brutality I can unleash at any moment with my guitar. 
Benevolence and subtlety may be reigned down as well, enrapturing your subjects.
They look amazing and sound totally vulgar, and I'm really happy to share them with the world again.

Geiger Counter Pro

Kompakter parametrischer Equalizer im Tretminenformat. Es hat drei Bänder und einen Frequenzumfang von 31Hz bis 16kHz.
Jedes Band ist ein unabhängiges Bandpassfilter mit einstellbarer Mittenfrequenz, Filtergüte Q und Pegel.
Die drei Frequenzbänder sind 31Hz - 1,6kHz; 100Hz - 4,8kHz und 300Hz - 16kHz.
Q regelt die Schärfe des Filters. Bei niedrigen Einstellungen klingt es mehr wie ein traditioneller EQ, bei hohen Werten wird es zunehmend resonanter.
Die Pegelregler haben ihre Neutralstellung in der Mitte, liks davon dämpfen sie das entsprechende Band ab, rechts von der Mitte verstärken sie es.

The Utility Parametric EQ is a staple pedal that belongs in any professional's rig. There are 3 bands of EQ with frequency ranges from about 40Hz to 15kHz. Each band is an independent bandpass filter with adjustable center frequency, quality factor, and gain. Use them to sculpt and shape your tone however you like.

The WMD Geiger Counter is hundreds of entirely new face melting sounds. A high gain modern preamp drives an 8 bit computer, creating sounds which range from nice (tubey overdrive, lofi aliasing, hot gated leads) to total madness (impossible amounts of gain, multiple octave foldover, harsh digital data errors, and piercing sculpted noise).
