The ZVEX Channel 2 is a low gain overdrive/booster pedal designed for guitarists. It features two knobs: one for Master Volume and another for Gain. The Gain control can sweep from unity to +24dB, adjusting both the gain and DC bias on the MOSFET transistor at the same time, which may cause a rushing noise when adjusted. This noise is normal. At low gain settings, the Channel 2 has an input impedance of 5 million ohms, providing a very sparkly texture when plugged directly into the pedal, even clearing up the longest, dullest-sounding guitar cords. The pedal is derived from the second channel of the Super Duper 2-in-1 pedal and covers a range from unity gain line buffer to a light transparent overdrive. It can be used as a second channel on an amp, a line buffer, or a boost that adds sparkle to the sound.
