When talking about the greatest chorus effects pedals to ever grace the planet, you always hear about the CE-2 from Boss, arguably the best one ever made. I own one and it is fantastic, no bones about it, but it’s little brother sometimes gets overlooked in the mix. The CE-3 might not carry all the prestige of the CE-2, but it has some great tones, as well as a couple tricks up it’s sleeve that you can’t get with it’s older sibling.

Das brandneue DD-6 ist der Nachfolger des weltweit beliebten BOSS DD-5 Digital Delays, welches sich sieben Jahre lang in sehr großen Stückzahlen verkauft hat, aber dessen Prozessor jetzt nicht länger hergestellt wird. BOSS präsentiert nun das neue High-End Boden-Delay DD-6: Im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger gibt es jetzt statt 2 Sekunden Delaytime bis zu 5,2 Sekunden! Die Hold-Funktion (Audio-Loop) bietet jetzt ebenfalls bis zu 5,2 Sekunden, so dass endlich längere Passagen als Endlos-Schleife zum Üben-Jammen-Dazurocken möglich sind, jetzt sogar mit Overdubbing-Funktion.

Another Boss Delay? Well, if they would make a bad one, then we wouldn’t have to keep reviewing the good ones, would we? And, at least we’re not reviewing another overdrive pedal… All kidding aside, the DD-6 Digital Delay is a stripped-down version of their DD-5 model, which had a TON of options, too many for some folks. Going from 11 Mode choices to 6 simplifies everything, but still leaves all the options you’d want…and more.
