Dave Main entdeckte eine seltsame Anomalie beim Jumbo Tone Bender – ein paar Modelle aus den 70ern mit einer vierten Verstärkungsstufe, die nie im Schaltkreis war, und noch dazu einem rückwärts gerichteten Transistor – das war sicher nie für die Existenz bestimmt! Aber in echter Fuzz-Nerd-Manier beschlossen wir, die Idee so weiterzuentwickeln, als ob sie existieren WÜRDE. Dave baute den angepassten Schaltkreis in eine Art Jumbo Supa Tone Bender um.
Die Schaltungskonstruktion basiert auf vier BC549C-Siliziumbauelementen mit geringer Rauschverstärkung, die sowohl Stabilität als auch hervorragende Audioleistung bieten. Diese V2-Inkarnation verfügt außerdem über eine aktive Status-LED und einen externen Batterieeliminator.
Die Tiefen haben eine gesündere Präsenz im mittleren Bereich ohne übermäßige Matschigkeit oder Klarheitsverlust, die Höhen sind scharf und hell ohne ein übermäßig sprödes oder schwaches Timbre. Der Fuzz-Kontrollbereich ist gleichermaßen ausgewogen und reicht von leichtem, dunklem Overdrive bis hin zu voll ausgeprägter, starker Sättigung. Die Gesamtausgabe ist ziemlich reichlich, sodass sie mit Tonabnehmertypen mit höherer Ausgabe, Bassinstrumenten und Gitarren mit tiefen alternativen Stimmungen glänzen kann.

Dave Main discovered a weird Jumbo Tone Bender anomaly – a few 70s models with a fourth stage of gain that was never in circuit and a backwards transistor to boot – surely it was never meant to exist ! But in true fuzz nerd style we decided to develop the idea as if it WAS meant to exist. Dave built the adapted circuit into a sort of Jumbo Supa Tone Bender. 
The circuit construction is built around four low noise gain selected BC549C silicon devices offering both stability and excellent audio performance. This V2 incarnation also sports an active status LED and an external battery eliminator. 
The lows have a healthier mid-range presence without excessive muddying or loss of clarity, the highs are sharp and bright without an overly brittle or weak timbre. The Fuzz control sweep is equally balanced ranging from mild dusky overdrive to full-blown heavy duty saturation. The overall output is fairly ample giving it means to excel with higher output pick-up types, bass instruments and guitars with low pitched alternative tunings.
