Das Reuss Vintage Three Volt Fuzz basiert auf dem ersten Gitarrenpedal der Welt, dem Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz-Tone von 1962 (nicht dem späteren FZ-1A oder FZ-1B). Es ist mit 2N270 Germaniumtransistoren ausgestattet und läuft mit 3 V wie das alte Originalpedal.

Es ist ein eigenartig klingendes Fuzz. Sehr körnig und Lo-Fi, mit einer gesunden Dosis dieser „leer werdenden Batterie“-Qualität. Die nasale Stimme ist auf die sehr begrenzte Bandbreite der 2N270-Transistoren zurückzuführen. Dies ist nicht das Fuzz, das alle Fuzzes übertrifft, aber es hat einige einzigartige Klangqualitäten, die in beliebteren Vintage-Fuzz-Schaltungen wie den Tonebendern und Fuzzfaces usw. nicht zu finden sind.

Based on the first guitar pedal ever made, The 1962 Gibson Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz-Tone
The Reuss Vintage Three Volt Fuzz is based on the world's first guitar pedal, the 1962 Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz-Tone (not the later FZ-1A or the FZ-1B). It's built with 2N270 germanium transistors and runs on 3V like the original old pedal.

It's a quirky sounding fuzz. Very grainy and lo-fi, with a healthy dose of that 'dying battery' quality. The nasal voice is due to the very limited bandwith of the 2N270 transistors. This is not the fuzz to end all fuzzes, but it has some unique sonic qualities, not found in more popular vintage fuzz circuits, like the tonebenders and fuzzfaces etc.

Vintage Three Volt Fuzz

Dies ist meine Version des ultimativen Overdrive-Pedals. Vergessen Sie Ihre Klons und Boutique-Screamer. Das Epic Overdrive verfügt über zwei sich ergänzende, parallel laufende Overdrive-Schaltungen, die frei gemischt und ausgeglichen und sogar mit sauberem Sound gemischt werden können. Einer der Overdrives basiert auf der unsterblichen TS-Schaltung und die andere ist eine FET-basierte Schaltung mit kaskadierenden Clipping-Stufen. Die beiden Schaltungen sind sehr unterschiedlicher Natur und ergänzen sich wunderbar. Eine hat den klassischen „Buckel“ im mittleren Bereich und die andere ist transparent, weich, dynamisch und „natürlich“ klingend, mit einem leichten „Scoop“ im mittleren Bereich. Mit dem Reuss Epic Overdrive können Sie diese beiden Geschmacksrichtungen zu einer endlosen Kombination einzigartiger, komplexer und exquisit klingender Overdrive-Effekte mischen.

One of the overdrives are based on the immortal TS circuit and the other is a FET-based circuit with cascading clipping stages. The two circuits are very different in nature and complements each other beautifully. One having the classic mid-range ‘hump’ and the other being transparent, smooth, dynamic and 'natural' sounding, with a slight mid-range scoop. With the Reuss Epic Overdrive, you can mix these two flavors into an endless combination of unique, complex and exquisite sounding overdrive effects.

Epic Overdrive

The Tingler combines two of the former Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Cramps and The Gun Club guitarist's favourite pedals into one: The Reuss Backslide Overdrive and the Reuss Goo Goo Fuzz.
Kid Congo Powers have been using Reuss pedals through many years, being an early adopter to the Goo Goo Fuzz, which is a clone of the vintage Superfuzz pedal he used with The Cramps. When I launched the Backslide Overdrive in 2020, it found it's way to Kid's pedal board too, being a clone of the Tokai Overdrive he used with The Gun Club. Both Reuss pedals have toured heavily with Kid Congo in his current band The Pink Monkey Birds, and both are all over the new album, That Delicious Vice.
