The DS-1 Distortion was introduced in 1978 as part of the second wave of compact pedal releases. Its hard-edged attack and smooth sustain was an instant success among guitarists, going on to fuel the signature sounds of numerous rock legends. The DS-1 has enjoyed such enduring popularity that’s it’s remained in the lineup to this day, outselling every other BOSS pedal to date.
To commemorate 40 years of BOSS pedal innovation, we’ve released a special version of the DS-1 that features a black body with gold lettering, gold-capped knobs, and a vintage silver thumbscrew for the battery compartment. The pedal comes in a special box with the BOSS 40th anniversary logo, and will be available in 2017 only.

The second in the new Legend Series is the FDR-1, based on the Fender 1965-era Deluxe Reverb — a coveted tube amp known for its natural touch-responsive and distinctive snappy overdriven sound. In conjunction with Fender, BOSS designed this stompbox to recreate the legendary tone of the 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp. Features include the same controls on the original Deluxe Reverb: Level, Gain, Treble, Bass, Vibrato and Reverb. The FDR-1 also functions perfectly as a “pre-gain pedal” placed before an already overdriven amp to add the tone character of the Deluxe Reverb.

FDR-1 Fender ’65 Deluxe Reverb

Die Firma Roland gibt es bereits seit 1972. Sie stellt unter verschiedenen Markennamen eine Vielzahl an Instrumenten, Verstärkern, E-Drums, Synthesizer etc. her. Für Gitarristen und Bassisten ist dabei vor allem der Name Boss interessant. Unter dieser Marke kümmert sich Roland seit Jahrzehnten mit hochwertigen Effekten um unsere Bedürfnisse. Die Homepage der Company listet allein sieben spezielle Basseffekte auf. Wer gleich eine ganze Vielzahl an unterschiedlichen Effekten sucht, diese gerne auch nach Herzenslust miteinander kombiniert und dabei nicht lauter einzelne Bodentreter mitschleppen möchte, greift zu einem Multieffekt. Auch in diesem Bereich hat Boss gleich drei Geräte zur Auswahl. Der jüngste Spross ist das GT-1B, welches eine Lücke schließen soll, die so manchen Bassisten bislang vor einem Multieffekt hat zurückschrecken lassen – das Problem der einfachen Bedienung! Aufgrund der Funktionsvielfalt gleichen Multieffekte nämlich schnell mal einem Computer und man muss sich nicht selten durch Tastenkombinationen und diverse Untermenüs graben, um Zugriff auf den gewünschten Parameter zu erhalten. Aus diesem Grund brachte Boss schon vor einigen Jahren das ME-50B auf den Markt, was komplett über Drehregler zu bedienen ist. Das Konzept ging zwar auf, allerdings bleibt dennoch eine gewisse Vielfalt bzw. Bandbreite auf der Strecke. Das Boss GT-1B soll nun beide Welten vereinen: Digitale Funktions- bzw. Soundvielfalt und einfache, intuitive Bedienung.

RC-300 Loop Station

Das RV-5 wird der Nachfolger des beliebten RV-3, welches acht Jahre lang weltweit fast so oft verkauft wurde, wie das DD-5 Digital Delay! Wie auch bei diesem Gerät wird der Prozessor-Chip jetzt nicht mehr produziert.

BOSS stellt nun das RV-5 vor: Durch eine neue Prozessor-Generation ist die Soundqualität noch einmal deutlich gesteigert worden - dieses Gerät bietet erstmals die Hallqualität des High-End Rackgerätes Roland SRV-3030 als Bodenpedal! Neu sind ebenfalls die Stereo-Inputs, was den Betrieb nach einem Stereopedal, wie Chorus (CE-5, CH-1), Flanger (BF-3) oder Delay (DD-6) möglich macht.
